I'm merrily bankrupting my Space Program. I do intend to send a refueling ship to my Duna crew, but the next Duna window is in almost a year. And, in the meanwhile, guess what : perfect Jool window. So all my fundings went into a flotilla currently enroute to Jool (with a ??? Delta-V, so what could go wrong ?). In the meanwhile, I use the remaining coins to send tiny science missions to the Mun and Minmus, and replace my old under-powered labs there. The idea is to get a sufficient science output to balance my funds through the "patents licensing" strategy in times of need.
And by times of need, I mean Jool windows. I'd like to throw a couple more rockets in that direction this year, but, at 1'000'000√ each, I may have to restrain myself a bit...

I keep taking plant flags contracts to the Mun or Minmus to get those extra funds. Been pretty cool on funds so far.

Hey don't give ideas to those who already insist for life support requirements (food/water/air supplies) to be included in the default game.
I already feel bad when I accelerate time while Kerbals stay stranded somewhere just because my attention went to another mission. So I tend to repatriate them first, unless I can keep them busy in a processing lab.
I generally feel compelled to "use time", instead of just skipping years, starting a mission, skipping years, etc. That's a reason why I haven't solved the Duna issue yet. Too busy year, stuf to do, other windows to exploit, before the next Duna window. Just accelerating time would feel fake, to me.
I may be roleplaying that stuff a tad too much. :-/
