It’s time to brew coffee and stretch your fingers – after a few years of absence, the Insomnia Promo event is back on GOG! With it arrive the best deals and the exciting anticipation that will drive away your sleep, while also giving loads of fun!

This Summer Sale on GOG is already full of deep discounts, yet we saved the most delicious treats, especially for the Insomnia Promo. How does it work? Starting now, once every 6 hours a new great game will appear here, bearing an insanely deep discount. Right now, you can already see the first title – the best-selling strategy game Frostpunk 85% off!

What’s the catch? Every game appearing during the event will only have 6 hours to catch your attention. After the time runs out, a new game will appear, while the former one will get back on our Summer Sale with the initial, lower discount. The other factor you have to be aware of is the limited stock of Insomnia deals!

So, be on the lookout, because cool titles like Leisure Suit Larry - Wet Dreams Don't Dry and Solasta: Crown of the Magister Supporter Edition are bound to appear at the Insomnia Promo event at some time (when? We’ll just have to wait and see ;)). So, take that caffeine shot and be on the lookout for great discounted games!
I was going to pass on Blood, I have too many games. Between the reviews, the price, and the comments here I decided to grab it.

Since gaming appears to be going to mobile, free to play and live service, I need to stock up on the good games that I can play from now, through retirement, and beyond.

Typical life paradox, you are young and don't have money for games, but you have time. After
"some time" you have money but not time or health (or worst both) for games (always you lack something).

I also garbed it, for that price was greet upgrade, sadly why Monolith died I would love to play Blood 3 with better AI, models, level design etc, but the same bloody theme :) .

1844/3000 copies of Blood sold.

Now: Shovel Knight: Treasure Trove

[-45%] It's not even a historical low for GOG.

The next one is: Monster Train.

Eh, -45%. Not even the nice -50% I was expecting.

Wasn't it 1844 left, 1156 sold?

Oh, I'm sorry, you're right. The counter shows "copies left".

I think the all time low for this is technically 9.99 which may never be reached again.

Anyone that bought the original game before it became treasure trove when it was just Shovel Knight got upgraded to the treasure trove edition for free. It was 33 percent off when it was that 9.99 and that's when I got it. It then got a price increase with the treasure trove edition and all the added DLC parts became their own separate piecemeal versions. 9.99 for Plague of Shadows and King of Hearts and 14.99 for the original base game Shovel of Hope.

I'm aware of the process, but I still think it's not historical low, even after all DLCs. But also thanks for the explanation – it's quite important for sure to know where the current price comes from.
If Monster Train is next then probably can forget about Slay the Spire as I wouldn't expect two so similar games on insomnia.

I made that mistake too and though: Wow, this is selling well. I think a rising counter that reaches 1 at the end would be more intuitive.
Van Helsing next.
I think the GOG team should change the website API so you don't know the next entry :)

joveian: Van Helsing next.
I could see that selling well depending on the discount. Personally I don't mind GOG using Insomnia to push lesser-selling titles too but the discounts don't strike me as being "instabuy" range for most people. In one hour Monster Train sold less than 50 copies; however maybe that's because most countries that use GOG are asleep right now (1am EST).

It'd be fun to see what happens if a game that's on sale for like $1.49 normally (seems like the majority of the EA titles here) gets Insomnia'd for ~50-75 cents.

I think they should make the deals better :). Personally, if it wasn't for knowing the next game I wouldn't bother to check at all at these prices. Monster Train is the first one that is tempting to me but the style isn't really my thing, they already have one DLC, and I'm not sure if they might have more DLC and an everything edition so I think I'll just keep playing Wingspan (picked up the new expansion at the beginning of the sale). Also, according to gg.deals Steam had the same deal three weeks ago so it seems likely to be back in the not too distant future.

tfishell:
Yeah, a very inexpensive one would be more tempting, even a usually $1.50 on sale game going for $1. I think the sleep factor is the main thing at the moment. I'm guessing Monster Train will do fairly well at this price, at least more like the first three. I appreciate that the time is set so that even if the next up wasn't known you could still actually sleep and not miss anything (unless they start selling out).
