Since it's already October my time, GOG (Poland) time and GMT and my birthday is later this month, I'll do like a hobbit too and have a little giveaway. Not much, just five games, but I managed to make it so all of them are games I played in 2002-2005, so during the one period when, well, things were better, personally speaking.

That said, the games:

- Arcanum: Of Steamworks and Magick Obscura
- Evil Islands
- Icewind Dale 2 Complete
- Sid Meier's Pirates!
- SimCity 3000 Unlimited

The rules:

1. Since this has to do with having taken another lap around the local star on this ball of rock and metal that we keep trashing like we and all other species we share (or should be sharing) it with had plenty more to spare, opening this only to those who have at least one such lap on the forum under their belt, so be registered before October 2018.
2. Reserve the right to silently rule out entries for users known to spam or scam, or troll too much, or simply lack meaningful participation (outside giveaway and possibly also forum game threads, unless managing them).
3. Entries accepted until 23:59:59 GMT on October 7. Winners should be announced later that night, barring unforeseen circumstances. random.org will be used to determine the winners.
4. Winners must redeem the games on their accounts, so the ones used to enter, until 23:59:59 GMT on October 14. Not like I can do much after the fact if they're redeemed on other accounts, but just putting that out here. I don't add friends, so in order for me to be able to send you the code, you must allow everyone to send you chat messages at the time of the draw. Being unable to send the code right away or failure to redeem it before the deadline will mean making another draw for it.
6. To enter, include "I'm in" in your post and which game you're in for. Each entrant gets to pick one game to enter for. Had something in mind for additional picks and entries, but eventually decided it was too gloomy and (for those who'd have answered) personal, so leaving it at that. To show that you have read this far, include the number listed for this rule somewhere in your post and don't say that the numbering's wrong.
5. Anyone taking the part about one good period being in the quite distant past or the one about being gloomy as a cue for "it gets better" or the like will definitely have their entry ruled out.
Happy B-Day in advance, fellow GOGer!

Not in since I already own first four and also a superior version of the last one (with number 4 in it). Actually I don't own Evil Islands, but I have finished it (very thoroughly) in the past so don't plan to return to it ever again. Very good game that deserves to be better known than it is.

So, naturally you have prepared a very nice selection of games for your giveaway. Thumbs up for the rules as well. ;)
Happy Birthday. :-)

i am in for the Sid Meier’s Pirates!
Happy birthday!
I hope it is a good one.
I'm in for Arcanum: Of Steamworks and Magick Obscura
It is a hard choice, but this looks like the coolest one!
+1 cookie, good luck to all, not in.
as one good song tells us, "He was shot six times by a man on the run," so I'm in for Evil Islands if I'm allowed to.
Happy birthday in advance! :)
I'm in for SimCity 3000 Unlimited.
It's a game I always wanted to play and i have on my wishlist so it was an easy choice.
And according to data researched the game has more than 6 hours of gameplay.

BranjoHello: Not in since I already own first four and also a superior version of the last one (with number 4 in it). Yup. Poor ending and not much to say of story, but neat crafting system for Evil Islands. And it's the one of the five that I also have a review for (obviously not here, the character limit here would barely fit the conclusion). Also one of the two that I actually finished (IWD2 being the second), and the only one finished during the period mentioned (finished IWD2 in 2006). Granted, can't really "finish" SimCity, and the end of a playthrough of Pirates tends to be bad, doesn't it?
Just do play it on easy, normal is impossible. Hard on easy too, but also thoroughly completed it when I played it, if by that you mean kill everything and get all you can and make the best gear for each part. Lots of saving and loading for some enemies, needing to get one char casting and two backstabbing timed to perfection, and all of it timed to patrol routes. But it meant being able to do it "just right" :p

As for SimCity 4, still not sure whether I played that, and if I did it was only briefly. But sure of 3000, so there it is.
