Wow.

Holy FUCK.

This movie... this movie just... WHOA.

Watching it, I felt like my childhood grew a pair. It was the most fun I had at the cinema in a long time.

Everyone clapped at THAT scene. You'll know what it is when you see it.

I just honestly cant believe they actually made a reboot that's not only respectful to its predecessor, but kindly kicked its ass to Mars with a boot forged in lava.

What I loved about the film was how real it all felt, from the action to the dialogue, right down to the little details of the park (dino petting zoo! T-Rex feedings! Margeritaville!)

All in all, its perfect. WATCH IT.

:D
Uh.. that wasn't exactly a review, but a comment. :P

Anyway, today I watched the movie too..
I was obligated (lol) to choose between Terminator Genisys and Jurassic World and I opted for the second.
And..wtf I liked it!
I mean, I expected crap, but it wasn't bad (7/10?).
Obviously it wasn't free from modern movies' stupid moments (why are they so common?), but it was fun overall.

*SPOILERS*
Random comments:
- would you reopen the same park (u mad) with that crappy security? Helicopters and bazookas are effin' mandatory.
Also, they should have implanted explosives together with the tracking devices.
- the Indominus is super intelligent because ..? At first I thought that the scientists chose to use human dna.
- the raptors plan was incredibly stupid.. basically a gimmick to stage the final fight.
- dino talk.. lol
- I wish that the hero dude could have saved a raptor from a Indominus attack, to (somehow) gain its trust.
- of course: open a Trex gate, wait for one, run back with high heels and hope that it will start a fight.
- the final battle was cool to see, but.. dinos alliance? Come on.
- ok, the Indominus is defeated. Now, how do we kill that huge dino-fish, before the rescue ships arrival?
- err.. the redhead woman was responsible for the park! She'll be probably jailed for life.. good ending lool.

Funny. I found it boring, predictable, generic, redundant and bland. It's safe, it's cliched, it's paint by number filmmaking 101. The characters are empty cardboard cutouts of the most overused stereotypes, the action is predictable, the CGI is mostly just allright, the climax of the movie is a fight between CG cartoons, and the whole thing is a good 20 minutes overlong.

I found Terminator Genysis more fun at least.

I was not impressed by that movie, but I'm dead serious when I say that Arnold's Terminator in Genisys had more character, better dialogue and was better developed than anyone in Jurrasic World.

You are absolutely right.

He does. No joke. The "Protect my Sarah" line leaves everyone and every line of dialogue from Jurrasic World in the dust.

And I was about to mention that line ;)
Bump for moar comments.
Honestagodlovedthefuckoutofit!

Havent had such an experience in a cinema in a long time, it really worked on many levels and was a well paced action experience for me, unlike the pos San Andreas which was an exercise in monotony.
As much as i would llove to share Lester's view on this movie, i can't...

!!!SPOILERS!!!

Domesticated dinosaurs with ethical views on friendship? Really!?

Dinosaurs appreciating each other's help!? REALLY!?

those are huge reptiles! If they have killed something, you're next!

!!!SPOILERS!!!
Jurassic World was a lot better than I expected, sure it was all Hollywood and cliché but it really didn't try to be anything else either, I really enjoyed it for the silly dino action it set out to be. Raptor Blue to the rescue 10/10 best scene in the movie.

I may watch Genysis later, I feel like it may be a very similar to JW in a lot of ways.

Pretty much my feeling as well. Got what I expected, no more, no less, and thought it paid decent homage to the original movie. We enjoyed it and felt it was worth the money.
It had a few stand out moments, if it wasn't for Chris Pratt and that comic relief in the control center then the movie wouldn't have been worthwhile as a one time watch at the cinema.

But after watching JW and reading the general consensus regarding Terminator: Genisys, I made sure to avoid watching Terminator: Geriatric in the theater and wait for it to arrive on DVD.
