cryware: Bye the way, could you suggest please some notable movies from Norway?

BreOl72: Kraftidioten (2014, trailer: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J1-Fm3xx6gw)
(English title: "In Order Of Disappearance" - the same director shot a remake for the US in 2019, starring Liam Neeson, called "Hard Powder")
I believe it is better known in the US as Cold Pursuit.

A few more recent movies. The movie making scene in Norway was previously dominated by a few industry veterans and the quality of their work was, well, sufficient for the home audience. (I'm being generous here.) It is now more versatile, IMO. Here's an entry from this year's festival in Cannes:

De Uskyldige

Also from Cannes, the last in Joachim Trier's Oslo-trilogy:
Verdens verste menneske https://www.imdb.com/title/tt10370710/

Then there is Torden with a take on Norse mythology a bit closer to home than Marvel:
https://www.imdb.com/title/tt5715066/

Then you have Gunda - mostly Norwegian, but Russian director: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=afZ6n7lwx48

Got to recommend a documentary as well: iHuman, about the opportunities and dangers of AI and current/future tech. https://www.imdb.com/title/tt11279794/

M3troid: Escape from New York.
+1!
Mr. Church. A feel good movie that delivers on that promise, although parts were somewhat awkward.

Sukeban Deka: The Movie. I finished watching the Sukeban Deka II series and generally found it inferior to the original (mainly down to plotting and greatly superior villains in the original), but I liked the characters so I plowed on and watched this movie that sort of bridges the second and third series. The movie thankfully is an improvement on the show in that it has all the good qualities and stays away from the overwrought melodrama of the show. Just a bunch of angry sukebans teaming up to liberate a fascistic military academy, with lots of gratuitous explosions. It's like Uncommon Valor with schoolgirls, with a dash of The Terminator included.

V for Vendetta
Revisit. A total no for me
Detective Picachu, it's as if the game and movie switched quality levels compared to how video games to movies usually go.
On Nflix: Heroes. Silence and Rock and Roll (2021)
Thumbs up. Now listening their music
but the -play guitar hero 3- project on hold until I find a mate owning all the rig & stuff & willing to invite...
I've watched Terminator Genisys last month, forgot about this thread.
I didn't really like it and I'm a Terminator fan. Not sure why this movie had to be made.
I didn't like Terminator 3 that much either. 1 and 2 was gold to me.
I was surprised by Arnold vs Arnold fight, I liked that. But I found the rest of the movie confusing or lacking.
Just finished a rewatch of the original Jurassic Park Trilogy, basically a yearly occurrence, and as usual probably will not move onto the World series. I don't hate them, but they don't have the same energy to me.

Breja: If you really choose what to watch based on IMDB's rating, you're doing the whole "watching movies" thing wrong. There's lot's of great stuff below their 7, there's lots of terrible crap above.
+1

Sucker punch (a masterpiece) was rated very low by critics on release. Rotten Tomatoes gave it a 2!
