Because you route your money through Cyprus, and it's shady as hell what goes on there, my credit union blocks all financial traffic through it.

Tried to use PayPal and you site sat there for 20 minutes trying to do it and never did anything.

Then the sale ended.

Thanks a bunch for completely failing me.
Thank you, Please come again.
Maybe you should change your credit union.

Maybe GOG could use less shady financial practices.

Or change your credit union.

I've used my credit card over 600 times in here and never had a problem with the site's practices or my credit union. In that same time though I've had my card lifted twice from Walmart stores, I'm sure both of which your credit union wouldn't have had a problem with.
^ change credit union and all problems go away ^_^

Yeah, but strangely enough when I asked if I could be their spokesperson they told me to switch to AmEx.

Yes, I will change my credit union just because of this. I can tell them to open the line until midnight, but they are obviously not open right now.

GOG could route their money through a place that is not known for money laundering and rampant illegal activity. Or maybe that's why they route it through there. Who knows.

This site utterly failed to communicate with Paypal, also. Fantastic.

pretty sure gog's choice of cyprus was simply tax motivated. there's plenty of shadiness of that variety to go around.

and far worse done by bigger companies. you should see if somebody might gift you the game.

Either that, or not buy here. Not too sure your business will be missed with that attitude. :)

Their loss. Hopefully the Los Angeles office will lead to some easier transactions for you and people in a similar situation.

Are you sure it's not an issue on your end ?
I've never had problems with paypal (though i've been using my credit card instead for years, now).
Anyway, ranting here on general discussion will achieve nothing. If you are bothered, try contacting support. At least it could be useful and they could fix the problem.

and gog is supposed to facilitate you instead ?

quit your whining

if other people have almost little to no problems the problem is obviously at your end either change dont buy anything or contact support

As a customer, yes.

When I can use both GOG and Paypal sites independently with no trouble, but GOG stalls for 20 minutes trying to checkout, then the problem is not mine. I'd have thought that did not need an explanation, but apparently I have to repeat that.

Yes, yes, I should "quit my whining" and just let GOG not allow me to buy things. That's perfect. I should have thought of that before.
