I was going to buy my free copy of Van Helsing today and a strange thing happened where there was no discount, so I backed out. I then got the game through the Connect thing, but now the "free" purchase is stuck in my cart. Why is GOG the only store without an option to remove items from your cart?
And how can I get rid of this item? Will it hinder future purchases?

contact support ?
I've had this happen to me before. I always fixed it by going to the homepage, clicking on the cart button, and removing it from there.
You can remove items from your cart. Go to main page. Click on cart. Mouseover the game in the cart, then you should see a "remove" to the right of the game icon in the cart. If don't, then perhaps you have some javascript disabled in firefox noscript or something?

Hover the cursor over the game.

It doesn't remove the game. I figured this out about 10 seconds after posting, and it's still stuck. But thanks for helping Hunch.
If doesn't expire in your orders tab you're going to need a ticket I think.. or a living blue!

I had this problem too. What fixed it for me is to remove it from the homepage (www.gog.com) rather than the forum page (www.gog.com/forum). Or was it vice versa?

I don't even remember when removing games from the main page actually worked. >_<
Always have to go into my cart to remove it.

...I'd assumed you'd tried this already.

I hovered over it on the main page... It says remove right there. I feel like a tool now. A real derp. Been using this site for years and just now ran into this problem (may have run into it before, I don't know... Age is creeping up, memory is getting worse). But thanks again for all the help. :D
