BeatriceElysia: Fill in your spec
Most people interested in the OP's suggestion don't even know that.

keep in mind they are upset about money they have spent on game they are asking for help, they literally can't think straight and often enough these are kids who are freaked up

of course, that's not really an excuse, but I don't see these people as persons who don't know their spec, just persons who don't know how to behave on net and or childish people.

This game nailed the requirements just fine: "If you have a potato PC or above, you're ok.".
*looks at requirements*
That's some pretty powerful potatoes.

Their true power is revealed when you try to chew them.

I tested the game once and it was like 50% load on a Gtx 750ti on max settings 1080p.
It runs about 30fps @ 720p on intel hd 4000 graphics <- kinda potato not so powerfull XD

Themken: How dare they call my pc a potato? My GPU is the minimum AMD model mentioned.
I got a 280X a few years back on a very good deal. Sold it almost immediately after measuring the power consumption, +250W GPU only on a "ok" power supply.

But, after 6 years is still a good GPU, launch price at 299$ (techpowerup info). How many 299$ GPU today will still be alright after 6 freaking years?
Actually wasn't the 280x the same as the hd7970 from previous year? 7 years old is potato region, sorry....

Dark_art_:
Mine drew up to 290W on Windows as it was factory overclocked. I guess it will run just like any 280X now on Linux and thus draw "only" 250W. Yeah, a change is definitely planned for next year. Price of electricity is increasing here too.

1jocator: So I +1'd this wishlist and I believe other people might also agree that this is a nice feature to have.

Eh, what if your system can handle a game unofficially or the listed specs(as with many games here) are set higher than what is actually needed?

I think each game should have a pinned thread in it's subforum where gog can list system REQs and others can list their experiences with running games on other machine specs, and then have that thread maybe linked on the game's store page as well so anyone browsing the store can just make one click and read a bit. To me that would be a bit better.

BeatriceElysia: Optional in-and-out recommendation where games will not be hidden from you, just not being recommended would work somehow like this:

Fill in your spec
fill in your preferences (RPG, tactics)
GOG rolls his machine
you get recommendation below your input, or in form of output mail

or....
fill in your spec
GOG rolls his machine
games you can't run have usual black game title, and games you can run have special purple title.
This is a good suggestion. :)
