I've been watching this sale for the past few days and the New Deals in x hours thing seemed pretty straightforward at first, but as I've watched it...Some games have remained there seemingly throughout every change. It seems a little disorienting given that previous sales where they were swapping out deals you could easily sorta track each game as it would fade from the deals. The only reason I bring this up is precisely that ease of tracking being lost here, since the Ending Soon category doesn't seem very informative, especially since titles like Don't Starve were there last cycle and remain in this one.

Am I being dense and missing something here? Shouldn't Ending Soon literally contain only those deals that will be ending with each cycle, filtering out those that are outside of the deal cycle?

...Either way, I'm digging these deals and finding what I want, but it'd be nice if it were a little clearer as to which games are going to be dropped within the next few hours, to know whether to get them then and there or not. (Although that's probably the clever marketing psychohacking at play there, which is why it's NOT clear.)
It seems fairly straight forward to me.

Well, I think you missed the fact that each game is going to be up 24 hours, but there's a change every 12 hours.

Effectively, that means half of the games on the frontpage get exchanged each time (the "bottom half", that the "ending soon" sends you to). So, every 12 hours, top half becomes bottom half, bottom half disappears.
I hope this makes things a bit clearer?
Although I basically agree with you, I find the whole setup to be a little confusing and not that great to navigate. It's very nice and colourful, but not very practical imho ;)

Oooh, okay! I double checked before posting this, reading the GOG announcement thinking I must have missed something, but I still didn't read that out of it. That makes more sense, but...Yeah, it's not as clearly conveyed as I'm used to from the GOG crew.

Thanks for the clarification! =)

Yeah, I didn't quite understand it in the beginning either :)
More bothersome to me though is the fact that you can't see which games you already own or have wishlisted... I ended up just checking in the "on sale" tab to get a better overview...

You could always go to http://www.gog.com/games##sort=bestselling&price=discounted&page=1

although, in between it was having a bit of a problem there ,)

Ahhh and select sort as grid, this will show you which games you own and which you don´t ;)

This is how I've mostly been browsing during the sale too. Absolutely love the grid view for sifting through lots of stuff. Unfortunately it misses the info I was seeking clarification on, but nevertheless it's a lovely option. =)
Hope I'm not missing something but I'd like the option of having a straightforward list of games on sale that can be sorted by price, highest discount, most recently on sale etc.. I can make sense of the front page but a few more options would be nice.
The only confusing thing is why they still call sales a sale when everyday there's a sale. I think they should change to normal prices and artificial inflated prices.

Great - thanks for following that up.
