It seems that you're using an outdated browser. Some things may not work as they should (or don't work at all).
We suggest you upgrade newer and better browser like: Chrome, Firefox, Internet Explorer or Opera

whatsnottaken: Not sure if that's it, I can leave the page and come directly back and it will make me login again, so unless it's set to expire after 2 seconds it must be something else. I was thinking it had something to do with Galaxy before, but now I'm not so sure. In any case, they don't seem to concerned about it as I've seen lots of threads on the subject, but no response from GOG anywhere even to just say, "We're looking into it".

Gets weirder since even not logged in I can go to the forums and post, it even shows my game list on the left, with no problems at all. Sometimes when I go to the GOG homepage I can even see my profile pic for a split second before it decides I'm not logged in.

cogadh: The problem is the cookies. GOG made a change to their login process some months back (around the time Galaxy released), which altered something about the login cookie, leaving anyone still holding onto an old cookie in a kind of half logged in/half logged out state. You will get prompted to login at every visit, but you can still post on the forums without doing that. The solution is to simply delete all of the GOG cookies, restart your browser, then log in cleanly. You will get a new cookie that isn't broken and should not get stuck partway logged out.
this solution worked for me, some time ago.
Thank you, that did seem to work for me as well, I remember hearing in one of the threads some had cleared ALL their cookies, but I didn't want to do that. Still I wish there had been a thread started by staff to clearly state this issue and how easy it was to fix, obviously I wasn't the only one with the problem. But personally, I'm still kinda in the steam-age as far as browsers and stuff, never used an RSS feed or any fancy stuff like that. ;)
