the chat bot is useless for my problem which is the galaxy program will not run but gives an error message. windows 10 and new fresh downloaded galaxy program.

The aplication was unable to start correctly (0xc150002) is the message and also i get a message when i start the computer that galaxy cant update.

Anyone know what is going on as i cant access any of my games to download them even.

I don't use Galaxy very often, so I can't help much with that. Have you considered downloading offline installers directly from the website?

Probably not, I'm afraid, as customer service is a thing of the past, and it won't resuscitate any time soon. RIP.

Other than that, I'd recommend to follow the advice above and download the offline installers - which just means you don't need to rely on galaxy to install or play games.

Describe your problem (may have to do it multiple times) until the bot suggests "Other" something. It then will ask for your email address, and after that you describe your problem again (I usually have the text ready in Notepad for easy copy & paste). And that's it, a ticket has been created.

Another thing to consider is that it's the weekend and support staff isn't working on weekends.

1. Install both vc_redist.x86.exe and vc_redist.x64.exe
2. Restart your system.
3. Download and run the full setup_galaxy_2.0.60.2.exe installer.

Report back if you still run into issues. You can go to the game installation folder and directly launch the game executable there. Sometimes these are buried deep in subfolders, so the shortcut in the top folder should also work. In contrast, Start Menu and desktop shortcuts for the game will launch GOG Galaxy.
Of course, if you play without GOG Galaxy you might miss out on some features, like achievements, cloud saves, and game time tracking.
To download your games, log into the website in a web browser. From the user menu at the top, choose Games. Then click a game and ignore the big blue download button. Expand the "Offline Backup Installers" section instead. You basically need to say that your problem is of type "other" twice. See the bottom of my complaint post for the exact wording. Alternatively, you can try e-mailing support (at) gog (dot) com

Well, I cursed for a while and didn't choose any of the options which were not problem related, in the end I got an email from THEM :)

Edit: But installing the 32 bit VC redist will probably solve your problem.
I don't think that Galaxy uses DotNet.
