RogueXanter: I don't really know anyone on GOG who would be willing to do such a thing.

On the plus side Ryan finally contacted me an apparently wants to e-mail the code to me so it looks like he was just away rather then taking the codes and running.
I guess you never received a working code. He did the same with me. The email never arrived and the code he gave me afterwards in chat was invalid. I hope other people will read this and don't trade with RYAN841.

@RogueXanter did you recveived a valid key from him?
I wanted to trade with RYAN841, but he is silent since i demanded that he send his key first.
He seems to be a scammer.

RogueXanter: I made a trade deal with someone and sent the codes I was supposed to but haven't received what I was supposed to get in return yet so I'm wondering if the other person just hasn't been on to get and send the codes or if they took the codes I gave them and aren't planning to give me what they told me they would trade for them.
You can search for his name on the forum page using the looking glass button in the top right of the screen. Then you can at least see when the last time he posted something was.

Did you check how long he had been a member before you made the trade or his rep(not that rep tells much about a person)?

But if i can give you some advice: Next time you are going to trade with someone, look up as much info about the person as you can, like posting history, how long he or she has been a member or other things like that.

Based on what has [url=https://www.gog.com/forum/general/known_scammers/post3500]posted, I'm afraid that you're not going to get a valid code from this user.

So, my advice to you is the same I gave gnadenlos - contact GOG Support with all the details, report the account for scamming, ask them to lock it, and revoke your codes (get new, unused ones).

rtcvb32: [...]

Hmm i really really wish that GoG had worked with me a little, a way to test if codes were used or available or something, and build a way to confirm codes were working. Wouldn't be the best solution but you could at least have the code checked safely.
Could you elaborate on what exactly you mean?

I had an idea where I'd make a few web pages to help with trading of codes. The page would accept codes you give it, check for the games that were valid, and internally attach a name to the code based on when making trading deals. If someone tried to offer the same code to multiple people it would throw a warning or red flag. As such people could offer multiple codes or a single code/game and when both sides were happy it would give the other side the code that it already had stored in an internal DB.

I had a lot more planned but when they switched over to more JQuery which I don't know how I'd get around and use, I just haven't bothered...
