Is there a way to make the Galaxy winow smaller or at least change the color? I use a 42 inch screen and it is almost blinding to look at, if I could make it smaller it would help but it seems the only option is large and full screen.
Just click & drag the corners, like any other window...

Galaxy is definitely not fullscreen on a standard HD display (unless you want it to be). And it looks really nice blending in (at least on Win7) with a dark games bar left and a game content (brightness depending on the game...) area right. Can you post a screenshot from your machine? Maybe something's wrong?

Doesnt seem to work like that, I have tried it. I also have steam and it can be made smaller but I canot do it with Galaxy.

Attach a screenshot of your Galaxy.

I tried for about an hour to get a screenshot and couldnt, kept saying wrong format no matter what format I used. Im not that comp savy but can get around, I looked on the web for help but nothing worked. I came to GOG because I was tired of Steams garbage and now right away having problems.

Issues I wonder about:
1. No option to change color or lessen its brightness of Galaxy, (not that I have found anyway)
2. Even in small window Galaxy is off the screen and I have to move the entire window to see whats off the edge. No other program or game on my PC reacts like this).

P.S. The only real issue is the screen size.

Just drag the title bar to the left or right edge of the screen and it should automatically maximize to 50% screen size, assuming you're using Win 7 or later...

Try this (if you use Windows):
- Install https://www.irfanview.com/ and run it
- Press Start key, type "snipping tool", press Enter
- Select the relevant part of your screen
- Edit - Copy
- Paste in Irfanview
- File - Save As - JPG - Select quality "5"
What resolution are you running your desktop at?

Do you have any UI scaling enabled?

I can't think of anything to suggest without a screenshot.
42 inches? Seems kinda overkill for a single user situation.
Have you tried playing your games directly from your PC (in other words, not going through galaxy), and then Alt & Enter to make the window smaller?

What does "single user" have to do with it? A screen/TV is as large as the distance you sit/stand from it.

Maybe I'm not a materialist with a mahogany desk that could hold a 120 lb CRT, but I feel once you reach past a certain size, the optimum size:distance ratio becomes a bit silly a number.

Who said anything about a desk? And why do you mention "materialist" and "mahogany"? A 42 inch TV is often a lot cheaper than a smaller computer monitor.
Gettin off topic here. Any updates OP?
I can't help really, click n drag is what i do.
