Hello! I have a problem. For four days I am being targeted and reputation is dropping at an enormous rate. Long story short?.. Five days ago I had rep of 127. Then every single day my reputation is dropping by 5 or even 6. I looked through my posts of the past week, I can't find any "Low rated" posts. It doesn't seem like I have offended someone, since no one told me anything via PM or in the forum. I have won some giveaways, I made some giveaways, I talked a little in various threads, I thanked everyone for all the good that happened.

I know that reputation points are not very accurate in telling if the person is good or not. It all depends on how behave on the forum, how I talk to you all and how much I give (joy, fun, useful info, games, etc.). This reputation anomaly might even be a rule, glitch, bug of the GOG system. Do you have any ideas of why that might be happening? And if someone actually feels offended by something that I said in the past, please, make yourself known. I may not be amusing, but I am tolerant and I'd like to find a solution.

I doubt they are targeting you specifically. More likely, they are just targeting a whole thread and everyone in it gets downrepped as a result. Don't let it bother you.

Have you posted on the gifting thread before? Ninja thread or the like?
Lots of posts get down-repped there either because someone is mad their requests aren't being fullfilled or because requests are seen as begging. Either way avoid posting there.

Yeah as long as you are a good person that's all that matters, numbers, reps, stars, are cool to collect and add up, but nothing we can do if we lose points :)

Not sure what the reason is. Maybe you posted too much in the gift threads or participated in a controversial topic? Most of the downrepping happens in these places.

But best thing is to ignore the whole matter. Opening threads about it won't help and normally only results in more downrepping.

If you have an overwhelmingly positive view/post regarding steam you might get some down-votes. Perhaps it's just the sheer opposite stances of how they handle DRM, or perhaps to reaffirm to themselves that GoG is best and steam sucks.. or something like that (I've been burned by steam's DRM, so...).

I've also seen someone get downvoted for saying they'll wait until the recent Lucas Arts games go on sale, and there was no reason for him to get that downvote except it was the first post in the news. Had it been on page 2 he wouldn't have probably gotten that attention.

It won't take too long for you to regain that rep if you're on the forums fairly often.

Sometimes I notice that when I don't kiss-ass to a GOG staff member or simply criticize their view or their company, even constructively (but sometimes not), I get 5-10-20 points removed, my guess is that GOG people can have more of an impact with their voting (one click from one of them does 5 points or something) and you maybe upset one of them. I wouldn't worry about it, people are petty and vain and do all sorts of stupid stuff to make themselves feel better.
