I'm having trouble downloading the Alan Wake and Alan Wake's American Nightmare updates. using the Beta downloader. When I click the download button for the updates nothing happens. When I click any other download button the downloader starts downloading.

I'm using version 3.1.2b.

All kinds of odd problems with new downloader.

Pauses on its own.
Sometimes can't get the description file from the server and gives up (uhh.. deal with network saturation... you are a *downloader*)
Sometimes won't unpause after manual pausing

Attachment obviously is not a png, rename to unpack.

for the last hour the downloader says error, retrying. I have tried every thing that has been suggested and still having the issue. earlier my issue was it kept pausing itself. Now I am getting this. I trield attaching my log file but it keeps saying wrong fomat or that it's to big so look like I am not going to be able to load it. I am running windows 7 64 bit Ultimate edition English, Using google chrome, using the latest downloader, , but my logger says the same thing as the above post.

I described the problem on the other thread, but it is basically what everyone else is saying. I can't add downloads to the queue and the status bar at the bottom of the downloader window says 'Online' (green light) and 'error, retrying...' It seems to just hang at this point.

Same as everyone else. Was working fine earlier today (I downloaded a couple of games with no problems).
I can't even log in to the downloader. I enter my info and submit and it just returns to blank. No error or message the info was wrong. I can log in here fine.
error, retrying. No display of game previously downloading.
Seems the server is down?

Don't you use a content network for the site assets? Seems like that should be leverageable somehow here.
I had the .9 version of the down loader and it was asking for my credentials repeatably

So I uninstalled ALL of the files and deleted ALL of the folders and installed the new 3.0 build

Same deal and it sucks cause I really wanted to back up my copy of the Witcher before I erased my HD

I am running windows 7 on a i3 with HT and 4GB ram
