Connect your Steam account and grow or jumpstart your GOG.com library.

UPDATE: Last chance to grab your games from the original list! Make sure to get them until June 8, 12:59 PM UTC.

Want more games? We've got more games! Three new titles are now available through GOG Connect:

- Kona
- Defender's Quest
- Door Kickers

You can get them until June 13, 1:59 PM UTC.

Today, we're launching a new program called GOG Connect. The premise is simple: connect your Steam account and add your eligible games to your GOG.com library.

Whether you're checking us out for the first time or have been with us for a while, GOG Connect gets you DRM-free versions of your games, digital extras, and a whole lot of freedom of choice (like whether you go with the GOG Galaxy client or not). It gets you our take on game ownership, and we say: why buy the games more than once?

Thanks to our awesome partners including Deep Silver, Harebrained Schemes, Jonathan Blow's Number None, TaleWorlds and more, you can now add more than 20 games to your GOG.com library if you previously purchased them on Steam.

The full list of games will always be available on connect.gog.com, starting with these and more:

- The Witness
- FTL: Faster Than Light
- The Incredible Adventures of Van Helsing: Final Cut
- Galactic Civilizations 3
- Trine Enchanted Edition
- Saints Row 2
- Shadowrun Returns
- The Witcher: Enhanced Edition

While GOG Connect will stick around, the available games will come and go. These are limited-time offers made possible by participating developers and publishers, so stay tuned as we bring new titles onboard in the future (and grab your copies before they go away)!

For a bit more library-building, a bunch of our favorite titles will also be discounted up to -85% all week long, including The Witness, Saints Row: The Third, System Shock 2 and more. You can check out all the deals here. The sale will last until June 6, 12:59 PM UTC.

tibus274: Here is a hypothetical teaser question:

I claimed Braid here on GoG.com because I already owned it on Steam. What if my account gets banned on Steam or Steam stops existing? Will I keep Braid here or will it be removed?
avatar
Azrael360: That question is answered in the FAQ (Questions #14 and #15) in the GOG Connect page (look at the end of the page):
https://www.gog.com/connect
Not completely as #14 claims the game is mine even if the GoG Connect availability for that particular game ends. But #15 also claims that if I stop owning a game on Steam it might be removed here on GoG. Thus my question was born - what if Steam is no more (meaning I did NOT remove the game out of my library myself), do I keep it?

EDIT - but I guess you guys are right, no Steam account means no games found and thus game is removed from GoG as well. I am not bothered by this at all since I already re-bought other 200 games here on GoG, I just fancied the debate about this connection to Steam. Thanks everyone :)

Download the installation files and other goodies. Keep an updated copy when one is made available on GOG. Then you should not worry much as you have a permanent local copy. The only downside is not having access to updates through GOG.

Isn't DRM-Free wonderful?
Thank You, GOG! :D
Thanks, GOG!

Gonna be a while for my account... system has to scan through 1500+ games and DLCs :P
Er, I'm late to the party, so maybe this has been addressed before. I couldn't find anything, though. It says "Five days" in the box for each game in this page https://www.gog.com/connect . What exactly does that mean?
Even though the amount of Steam games I own is small, It's a nice feature for sure...
Apparently the well-known "Saints Row: The Third - The Full Package bug" also prevents GOG Connect to retrieve the game data to add it to ones library.

The bug mostly occurs if you got the Humble Bundle version of the game where all the DLC that are present in the Season Pass DLC Pack (Genkibowl VII, Gangstas in Space, and The Trouble with Clones) were given separately.

Is there a way to fix this?
Why would we want to transfer Breach and Clear: Deadline over when the game is still poorly outdated here? Sure, it's free, but it makes zero sense.

GamingSince80s: I'm getting an error everytime I try to link up my steam account.

Clicking sign in through Steam gives me an error;

"error": "bad_request",
"error_description": "Invalid redirection uri"

Any ideas?

Stto: Are you using Galaxy? That produced the same error for me. It worked using a browser (well, the connecting, not the actual syncing).
Thanks for that, didn't even think that could be the problem/solution.
I got it to link now, but like you, syncing gives me the, you might have to wait days message.

Anyway, thanks again :)

GoG connect keeps opening a new window of the connecting screen on its own. not funny GoG.

Cool concept though.

It means you will have five days to claim already owned Steam items here on GOG if they're eligible for reclaim. Everyone's having problems right now, what fixed it for me is setting my Steam profile to public and reclaiming via Galaxy client. Hopefully this helps you as well.
Meh, still looking for eligible games.

Bored now. Going to read something.
Well, how awesome is that!?! Thanks GOG and partners!

If you're reading KSP people, add KSP! I soooooo want KSP DRM-free. You know you want to!
