A few days ago I installed the witcher 3.. First I cancelled the installation because I wanted to relocate the game folder.

After I have setup the preferences properly in the galaxy client, everything installed normally untill today I start galaxy again and it starts to allocate space for the installation lol.. I abort this action and now I have no installation files no witcher 3. nothing.

Good game galaxy. Nice start

You didn't backup your game folder after installation has finished?

Seriously, you absolutely have a right to be pissed and my heart goes out to you, but don;t let the game get the better of you. Just take a deep breath and relax; you'll get through this and the forum is here to help should you need it. I'm a tech idiot so don't ask me but everyone else is here.

In Belgium we still enjoy data limits because of the maffia ties the telecommunication sector has with the government.
So no... redownloading is not an option.

And what effort? Just downloaded Recuva.. select recover with folder structure.. done.. wow that was a lot of trouble

EvolTwin:
In that time i think I would've downloaded it again :). But yea, I know that in Western Europe Internet access is bad :(

So I can recover the files to their original folders with Recuva.

I have a folder with all the witcher files 27.7GB if that is correct.

But Gog galaxy doesnt seem to recognize the folder and just starts downloading the whole package again.
Anyone know a way for galaxy to verify the downloaded files first instead of downloading it all again?

EDIT : Nevermind. found it.

Actually it didnt work. There is an option to verify files but it is greyed out and thus unselectable, even when I restore the original content from the download to the downloads folder.
Galaxy just wont recognize it. Not even when I try to import the folder wich literally says in the description it will look for files in the folder to be imported and compare these to the wichter 3 files.. but that might be referring to the unlocked version.

Anyway.. my experience with galaxy have been very shitty so far. Even wasnt unable to start it anymore untill I uninstalled it. killed a service (GalaxyService) via the windows console before I could even open the shitty program..
Now I remember why I am downloading The Witcher 3 _installer_ files. :) I don't think they will automatically disappear when I install the game, and I can use them to install as many times as I want. No need to try to import any folders blaablaablaa... (plus, I like the fact that this way I am downloading less, as the installer files are compressed, something that the direct-download Galaxy version isn't).

Be Smart, Download The Installers Instead.

We cant all be as smart as you mr Brainz.
I agree it is the better option in this case but It is the first time I used this program. Sorry for not reading tru every single option before downloading a freaking game :)
Mine did also disappear when I was clicking things from Galaxy, also the new DLC installation what came up just now did squeeze Wild Hunt folder to a 83.2 MB.

..dear Cthulhu.. O_O

So right now I'm playing it safe, and just downloading the parts from the site.
