Accatone: The official twitter account of IndieGameStand says: "I just realized that if you bundle today's game, you'll get 9 games for $10 - (yes that is a hint about our next game)"

The bundle includes the previous game Gnomoria (1), and the current Geneforge games (5), so the next game is some kind of a trilogy I guess. Any guesses?
Maybe Hacker Evolution, Hacker Evolution: Untold, Hacker Evolution Duality?

Stooner: Avernum?
Hmm, seems too early for that...
I can get it cheap, add it to my GOG shelf, AND use Steam's bandwidth! Awesome!

hedwards: Anybody only paying $2 or less is probably an extra sale that they wouldn't have otherwise gotten. People who are seriously interested in buying the game would probably be wiling to shell out more, even if they don't have to.

But, that's my assumption.
Possibly, and I suspect part of the main reason why the sales figures themselves haven't been so stellar is that all of the games bar the freebie introductory one and the alphafunding title have been in previous Steam sales and indie bundles several times over. Alphafunding bundles never do particularly well in comparison.

And besides all this, I find price dumping in this way to encourage short-term profits is very damaging for their long-term prospects. Sure, they can make a cash grab for 2,000 copies à $2 and get a quick and easy $4,000, but those are 2,000 copies they will never sell again. Sure, people may be willing to shell out more, but if they see this, chances are they won't when they can get it for cheap.

Personally, I wouldn't have bought any of the 3 games I did buy, for more than 1$. I already owned Space-Chem, but not DRM free on GOG, getting that was worth 1$ for me, but not more for a game I already have. Geneforce I already had as well, but paying 1$ to get it on my GOG account was worth it. Gnomoria is an alpha that seemed like a gamble to me, and 1$ was an amount that I was willing to gamble on it.

I'm in this boat as well; want Geneforge on GOG, but not willing to pay a lot of money for a game that I do, after all, already own on Steam.

This is how it was for me with SpaceChem as well. I bought the game from the dev himself quite a while ago, so I paid $1 for the GOG key.
Just bumping, it's the last day and a half of this sale.

A low (or free) price is good if the developers have something else they want to sell.
Under 3 hours until the next sale (and therefore under 3 hours left to get Geneforge Saga).
Here was a tweet earlier in the week that hints the next game.

"I just realized that if you bundle today's game, you'll get 9 games for $10 - (yes that is a hint about our next game) "

That means the next game will be a bundle of 3. Any ideas!
I ended up paying over the average just to get the GOG key and the extras. Eh.

My guess...

Hector: Badge of Carnage?

Foxhack: Hector: Badge of Carnage?
Hoping not. I already have it from IndieRoyale.
Oh, man. I'm hoping it isn't Hector, too. I too bought it with the IndieRoyale bundle.

Fingers crossed! :)
