Psyringe: People interested in this game should probably be aware that the game has a bit of a troubled history. I followed development for a while - the game was in alpha for a long time, and there were great plans, but then the project was suddenly declared "finished", and the developer moved on to "3089", the sequel that got a kickstarter. I've never seen a game go from "alpha" to "finished" so fast.
It looks a bit as if the dev abandoned this project to jump on the kickstarter bandwagon, but the official explanation is apparently "the engine wasn't capable of handling the things that were planned, so I'm starting from scratch with a new one." It's probably a bit of both. The game _should_ be playable anyway, but I've only tried it for a few minutes, so I can't really tell.
I didn't know that, but I did hear about some of the textures used in 3079 being stolen from Duke Nukem 3D, so what you're saying doesn't really surprise me.
