Quick question as I'm feeling rather paranoid. I noticed some keys have expired, but I think they were the free giveaways.

So, I have a bunch of steam & DRM keys/files in both I have not had a chance in dealing (due to life situations) Do they expire?

From free giveaways, yes, they do expire (during those promos you are informed about that), but from bundles and the stores they do not. Although on Indie Gala they recommend using them as soon as possible because they have a limited period of time in which their Support can help you in case of any type of problem, after that time, they may not help you.

This is from an e-mail after a purchase on Indie Gala:

"PLEASE ACTIVATE YOUR KEYS AS SOON AS POSSIBLE.
Your keys and your account will NEVER expire. You can activate your keys even after a year has passed.
Most of the unsold keys are sent back to the vendor 60 days after the bundle ends, so replacing keys after this period may be difficult."

I sent a 1.5 years old Steam key from Humble to someone and they activated it successfully. I doubt they will expire anytime soon.

I've had a problem with IndieGala where I gifted a key and it didn't work. Took some sorting out (quite a bit of hassle), which worked out in the end, and that was before the 60 day warning (probably these days they'd just have told me "tough"). So there's definitely danger, but the chance of such problems is low.
Thanks for all the input, guys. +1 to all!
