In a perfect world, I would have got enough money to pay my favourite devs to make exactly the game I want to play.
Of course it would be DRM-free, flat priced and for Linux only!

*sigh* For as awesome as they are, GoG has the worst (dare I say most anti-consumer) "sales."
I have to assume they're just testing different sales methods to see what people like, but this is basically gambling and no way is a single game on that list worth $45. So its gambling when every result is a loss.

Yes, but this "gambling" sale is particularly poor.

In past "gambling" sales, the randomisation was done before checkout and backdoors were left to allow one to deduce the game being won. And even if one did not bother to identify the mystery game, one was still warned if one or more games about to be bought were already owned. All this is gone and the faq's "we're prioritising games that you don't have yet" is at best misleading. If you miss just one "low quantity" game (e.g. Republique), your chances of getting it are minuscule.

All in all it's a "gambling" sale aimed at drawing in new blood and penalising old blood.

Should have checked this thread before buying... Got Shadow Warrior 2013, not a bad game, but I have a steam version and would like something else to spend money for. Well, It's all my fault.

They only gave away Fallout because of the licensing issues. Pretty much every website, even steam, gave them away free for two days.

Well I figured, what the heck - take a swing and hope for Lumino... no such luck. Ah well, sadly I forgot to check the "gift" box. Guess I should just be keen on the fact that it isn't insomnia and call it even :-p

Lumino is not coming out now? I got it earlier and it's not something I would have bought without this promo but now that I have it I am intrigued enough that I won't ask for a refund.

Republique and Dreamfall are the two I am missing, anyone knows if they have cycled back in? Republique is the one I really want, Dreamfall for $3 would be nice but I don't really care.

Maybe they might cycle in on the 17th which is expected to be a combined pool for a day, but who knows...
