Damn, insta wishlisted... I'll get this as soon as it releases fully; though, I have to give much respect that this was dev'd by one person!

Solus saga begins.
Gotta give the dev respect for even thinking about one manning such a project.
i have been keeping eye on this project trhu the steam pages and the blog by the dev.
Alot of other people had given up a long time ago when faced with the same challenges and difficulties as this dev did.
I dont have much money rigth now otherwise i woud have supported the dev by buying it early.

If im not mistaken, only the music and some of the artwork is outsourced/freelanced
I was hoping it would stay as a "classic" JRPG, as described during it's Kickstarter campaign. However, with only one developer, it may have been too much for such an ambitious project.
For a split second I thought we finally get that Soul Calibur that has the Witcher in it.

... :/

It seems Iris and the Giant has better reviews than this one.

Iris and the giant has been complete a little while
isnt it a bit unfair to compare that game with this wich is still beeing worked on?
Also, Iris and the giant have also had more time to get feedback from more players after realese so
it woud seeam logically that Iris and the giant has less bugs as a result.
im going to be real. this just doesnt look very good. i was at one point looking forward to its full release, but not so much any more.

it's faaaar more airship-centric than id hoped. and the graphics look incredibly flat.

I am curious as to why you chose Iris and the Giant as a comparison. Was that game widely panned for some reason? It seems like a decent enough game to me (I've "finished" several times now, and my only complaint is that during my first real run, I was unable to play sword flurry cards a few times due to game bugs).

disclaimer: Soul Saga is the first gog game I've ever asked for a refund for (not the first I wanted a refund for, mind you). I can't even get it to work on my machine (granted, my machine isn't officially supported, at all) and I didn't read the updated game page after having it finally appear after having it on my wishlist for so long, so I didn't realize that Soul Saga combat is my least favorite kind (real time with wait). It's possible to still have a decent game in spite of these two, but I'm not in the mood to wait and/or put effort into it myself.
because it got released in same time - newspost are next to each other.
I haven't heard about this title in literally forever.
