A perfect game for all the fans of first-person shooters like Doom or Quake is coming soon. Early access to Wrath: Aeon of Ruin from 3D Realms and 1C Entertainment is now available on GOG.COM. Explore ancient ruins and fight hordes of enemies with a formidable arsenal of weapons. Although still in development, the game looks very promising - check it out with a 5% discount. Buy it together with Ion Fury and get a 12% discount on both! The offer lasts until 29th November 2019, at 6 PM UTC.

Looks good! Here's some info from the Steam store page not mentioned here:

"The full game will have 3 unique Hub worlds, each with 5 levels, several Bosses, 15+ enemies, 9 weapons, 10 artifacts and multiplayer. The final game is many times larger and content rich than the Early Access release."

It uses the Quake 1 DarkPlaces source port engine.

No.

Don't get me wrong, the game itself is probably great and all. I might even get it.
But...

Doom and Quake where groundbreaking in terms of technology and visuals in their time WHILE being some of the greatest shooters ever made. What I really would want is to play a game that is as fun as Q1 and looks amazing and mind-blowing as 2020. That's what those games were: both, brilliant gameplay and a technology from outer space.

Don't get me wrong, the game itself is probably great and all. I might even get it.
But...

... don't advertise with gods, when all you have to offer is a meek sacrifice to them, although it's appreciated.

I wouldn't do that. If you like Quake just dive right into this and you'll get the most out of it. The less you know the more fun you'll have.

I played about one hour yesterday and really like it.

But what I want to know is if the upcoming multiplayer will also have addable bots. As much as I like the game DUSK, I can hardly find other gamers to play with in multiplayer. Without the possibility to add bots I can't see much sense in the multiplayer mode.

You should check out the New Blood discord. FRAG NIGHT is every Saturday and they announce when it starts there. But besides that sure I would really like to see MP bots too. I'm sure once the SDK is out someone will mod that stuff in.

Ion Fury has a Linux version and it's also published by 3D Realms. Give the devs some time. It'll happen at some point.

I already checked the Frag Nights out but they are at times early in the morning german time. Having a woman and child they are no real option for me. :(
