zeroxxx: What is your Steam region? I see you are from Greece from your GoG profile, but it could be different from your Steam region.
Greece as well. Or EU as Steam likes to lump the regions (EU2 was disabled 3 months ago).

Is the Superfrog's removal due to something inside the game is infringing/ someone demanding royalties/ license expiration or something. I need an official word from Team 17.
BUMP. We really need to get this mystery solved!
Taht's because of hate speech. Besides that superfrog was Nazi, all frogs are in fact, therefore there will be no more games with frogs. And every copy of The Wind in the Wiilows shall be burned!
Hmm, gog staff should have posted about the removal in the forums.
Better to post bad news, and admit the ___ has hit the fan, than to pretend nothing happened.
Disappointed...
It seems they only do for big games like Fallout.

Bump.

zeroxxx: To be fair, even more games are gone from Steam right now. Some even were very high profile like Onimusha 3.

blotunga: Mafia 2 is another example. And I only have the base game, with no chance of ever getting the DLCs. :(.
You have your chance now. The game is back on Steam now AND the DLCs are on sale!

tfishell: Superfrog HD is still on Steam. Perhaps Team 17 went, "Ohnose! Look at all these pirates! We must take down the GOG versions and leave the Steam version!" ;-)

I assume it's like Descent where it took more time to get the games taken down.
Superfrog HD has now been removed from Steam, as well.
It's funny: Most updates are released later over here, but GOG's minions are very fast when they have to remove games.

I assume that GOG doesn't want a lawsuit + it's up to the developers to send in the updates to GOG.

The delays are caused by GOG's QA team that checks if the game still works. The developers can upload updates directly to Steam.

"The developers can upload updates directly to Steam." - Yes, but not here. Here they send in manually, if they even bother with it.

I know. Have you read the first sentence? Obviously there are some bad eggs, but they are the minority. Most developers send the updates to GOG and the QA team delays the release by some days up to a week, e.g. the last BGEE/BG2EE updates.

I didn't know about that one. It's not on the big list
