So I'd like to ask for a few pointers and answer a few questions
I heard you can download games off GOG to a flashdrive. If my current PC does not meet the requirements for a game can I buy it, download it, and put it on a flashdrive then play it when I get a better rig?
What is a Video Card w/Hardware T&L and can I get a game to work without it or on an intel(R) HD graphics 4000?
What games would you recommend?

Any tips are appreciated and please no trolling

You misunderstand regarding sticks. Those comments meant you can place the installer onto a backup. NOT make the game "portable". Although if you use DOS games you CAN make those portable, but that is a little off what you asked about.

Basically anything on GOG has specifications to what can be played. In short pay attention to that stuff on the game page itself. There are to many games to like a magic bullet.

To recommend a game, give us some games you already like as references. =D

Yes. We do not limit the number of installations or reinstallations, as long as you install your purchased games on computers in your household.
b) actually your intel HD 4000 supports Hardware Transform & Lighting
c) all of them : ) More seriously, depends on what kind of games you like.

You can downlaod copy the installer itself to a flashdrive, carry it with you and then install on any machine any time you want.

However actually installing the game on a flashdrive is slightly more complicated (though doable).

Yes, you can store it on anywhere you'd like and play it later when you've got a rig that supports it.

And lastly here's a list of games that are must haves: (in my opinion, these are the best in their genre)
Witcher series
Planescape Torment*
Arcanum
Neverwinter Nights 1 and 2*
Sanitarium
The Cat Lady
Descent (shooter with 6dof, highly recommended)

Will update this list when I think up some more good games. Also * marked games are part of sale bundles such as Dungeons and Dragons bundle which includes Baldurs Gate 1 and 2, Neverwinter Nights 1 and 2, Planescape Torment, Icewind Dale 1 and 2, The Temple of Elemental Evil, Dungeons & Dragons: Dragonshard, and Forgotten Realms: Demon Stone.

Finally, I hope you have good times with this community.

You download a single (in most cases) installer file (which you can put on a flash if you want) from your account page after you bought the game, which you run on the computer you want to play the game, which then installs the game on that computer.

I think I have a similar gpu in my laptop (definitely Intel HD something), along with a stronger radeon, but the Intel HD gpu is perfectly fine with a lot of games. I even managed to play some Mount and Blade with it, although it requires me to set the graphics way down.

Like, Shmacky said, give us a list of games you like then we can recommend similar ones ones

That's a waste of time. Simply recommend Deus Ex, you can't go wrong with that: They'll either like it or are scum who deserve to suffer through a bad game.

Or they'll only like the sequel. :P
While I own the first game and can stomach that alright for the time it was made. Everything after is garbage.

Just my two cents ;P
