P1na: Did you piss a no lifer off? How come your posts here are downrated?

Honestly, the whole downrepping thing has certainly brought the whole forum down. The bad feeling of seeing nice posts derepped, people complaining about it, and dereppers seeing it worked and thus keeping at it has put as all on a really sad negativity spiral. It's gotten to a point that I feel I must be doing something wrong because mine keeps growing.
Very important point. You can see the result of the work you did in seeing ''low rated'' on a post. I think GOG missed their internet psychology class with this one.

I suspect gog.com came to the conclusion, at some point, that a rep system and post voting would more or less work as well as moderators. We would self-moderate.

We do self-moderate. The weak have fled. The strong remain. Nature always finds a way of working these things out.

Fairfox: The next time somebody leaves, I'd like it if they gave their undying (but unrequited) love for me as the reason.
I can do that without leaving.

RWarehall: I'm sick of this bullshit.

I just lost a bunch of rep again, right as Hedwards gets online and attacks me in forum posts. This idiot never loses rep, but clearly he goes around and downreps the shit out of people. I'm done with this. No one should be taking the abuse of these people. Goodbye.

You want to know what's wrong with these forums...

Him.
You can remove rep, stars and high/low-voted markings on posts.

1. Install Greasemonkey Firefox plugin;
2. Install «Gog no rep» script by Ryzhehvost for Greasemonkey.

https://greasyfork.org/en/scripts/1689-gog-no-rep

ps: since GOG now works through "https", you'll need to download and manually add following line in the beginning section of script (inb4, don't use MS Word!):

// @include https://www.gog.com/*

Hope this helps. :D

HijacK: I stopped caring about rep a long while ago. It used to be a pretty nice bragging right back around 2013-2014 when there were a lot of the veteran regulars. The number meant you're either posting a lot, or you're posting good stuff, or organizing giveaways, or any combinations of these. The number was a nice token. Nowadays the forum is a shitstorm and not really even worth posting in. I lost the interest and willpower to post. The number no longer signifies something.

The number can go to hell. I don't care about it.
Until you get negative numbers and you will abilities like posting links.

Fairfox: I can have a few of each, maybe.
Then we need at least one more to leave.

That sounded bad. :/

Elmofongo: Until you get negative numbers and you will abilities like posting links.
I rarely if ever post links, and even if I can't post a straight up link, there are ways to work around it, like putting a space between the first 2 or last 2 characters and mentioning that. Absolutely no issue there.

As I said, the number can go to hell, I don't care about it.
I post links all the time. No more rep, no more mouse necro.
Most of the old guard is gone now :(
Shame to see another leave. Part of me wants to encourage you to stick it out. However, there's enough BS in life so I can't fault you for not staying. Be well!
