Jesus, not only is it a shameless knockoff (at least the poster is), but the trailer looks like a PC racing game from around 1998. It is decidedly not Pixar quality.

It seems to be, according to this. But following the director's logic: he's aware of Transformer's trademarks, but because he never read the comics or touched anything related to it, he can't be breaking any laws.

Exactly. That animation quality is an absolute joke. Talk about false advertising with that poster... Apparently most movie goers thought they were going to watch the original movie cars and then got a little surprise.

I'm curious to see how this ends.

It reminds me more of late 90s CGI TV programmes like Reboot somehow. Except cheaper.

People have told me they have seen me where I have been not, even other countries.
Someone here cut a shampoo box that had a picture of someone that didn´t just look like me............it was an actual carbon copy.
She showed it to other family members after cutting it and they asked why did she cut a photo of mine :P

I've been approached several time in my life by people believing I was someone else. The best was a stripper who thought I was her brother but realized her mistake once she was close. I've also seen some pictures and videos on the internet of peoples who look a lot like me. (I'm face blind though so it's possible I do not pay attention to the same details in a face as the average person).

And no I do not think they, or me, violated any law.

I did not watch the video but the poster clearly does not look like the Pixar character by chance.

To tinyE: Your Fabio remark makes me wonder if writing a book/song/story/poem using only antonyms of a copyrighted work is plagiarism in the eye of the law.

That there is one person like me already in existence is already pushing it quite a bit so if there is someone who looks like me then it for sure violates laws of nature. :-)

The trailer looks like very low-budget video game.
