Cavenagh: Some games are not DRM free, I'm sure they will be when all other [DRM] avenues are exhausted.

shmerl: So, vote with your wallet and don't buy any of such games until they are DRM-free.
That's what I do, but of late Humble bundles, seem to be steam key only, but I have no problem with DRM, it's not as bad as I thought it would be, I can play games offline on steam. [just turn off steam overlay and cloud storage

Games with no achievements are DRM free

Never bought any full price DRM game.

Encouraging GoG to embrace what is broken about Steam isn't a good way to gain a better game buying experience. At best it is a short sighted measure that gives you some nicer guys to buy from in the short term while they mutate into the very thing you are trying to get away from. Why would that happen? Because you said that's what you want, and that you don't care about anything as long as the people your're buying from aren't being overtly greedy, or pretentious in how they project themselves.

Seriously? We can get hopping mad, and call for the death and destruction of Steam because they wan't to charge for money for shit, but we can't get mad about the insane idea that someone can take away things you paid for anytime they want at the push of a button(and do)? Are we are so bothered by the idea of having to pay for something that should be free that we are willing to throw away any power we have left as consumers voluntarily? Seems to me that anyone that is angry over the mod thing should be livid over DRM.

Getting GoG to the place it is being taken seriously hasn't been a quick process, and I'm for one am not ready to throw in the towel. The second the world says it's OK for GoG to go DRM is the second we can never be rid of it. There would be nowhere to run, and only an idiot would try and build a new DRM-Free store after the world told the first one to piss off.
GOG has removed bonus content

takezodunmer2005: Why not have the old and new? Surely it's possible to continue with both, There is after all, a finite amount of old games vs semi-to new titles..
GOG already sells a mixture of old and new games. Saying "no DRM" is not the same as saying "no new games". I think most people here would be happy to see more new games - as long as they were DRM-free.

You should have a problem with it. DRM is unethical and if we support it with our purchases, it will persist.

As I said, I've never bought a single DRM game**, the games I have on steam are from humble bundles, Humble sometimes give a DRM free and steam key version of a game, in which case I give away the steam key.

** World of warcraft is the only always online game I've bought in the past [which I'm retired from now]
