A mod for Starcraft 2 Heart of the Swarm and it looks legit :D

They even recreated the same models of the structures from scratch O_O

And of course the use certain models from Heroes of the Storm like Muradin Bronzebeard/Mountain King Hero Unit.

I wonder how are they gonna pull off the cinematics?

Sorry I meant in game cutscenes. They will still use the Pre rendered CG Cinematics.

Oh ho ho I hop they make the Sunwell in the Fall of Quel'Thalas mission look like look like a proper Sunwell in Burning Crusade.

I hope the Dragon units look awesome. Are they gonna have Arthas ride on a Horse? Will it still have talking heads :D

Not that I am asking you snowkatt.
i know
i was joking since there are warcraft toys
What is the point of this? Why not just play Warcraft 3 instead? It's a decent game that I think still holds today.

at a guess to keep warcraft 3 going on modern systems
and to use the game play mechanics and improvements from starcraft 2

Warcraft 3 works well on modern systems (well, at least on modern GNU/Linux systems).

That on the other hand is something I’m looking forward to give a try.

Oh... this looks interesting. I wonder if Blizzard will interfere with this project...

Blizzard tend to be chill with such projects. You can use all their assets from one of their games to mod another. There's already a pretty thorough remake of Brood War in StarCraft 2, and anyone, owner or not, can play it for free, too.

Btw, wasn't AoA supposed to be just a multiplayer remake? Did that change?

Cool, i was getting used to see projects like this getting shut down by the publishers. I might even buy SC2 if this turns out to be a good mod.

Just to be clear: you don't actually need to buy SC2 to play this. It works and is available through the Starter edition. Given how disappointing the first two parts of the SC2 single-player have been, and that Legacy of the Void will be stand-alone, I'd say the latter would be the thing to buy (assuming it's any better; if not, I'd say avoid the lot).

Ohhhhh... so i can use the free version to play this? Good to know, thanks for sharing the information.
This is cool... but I'd rather see a Warcraft 2 remake :P
