It seems that you're using an outdated browser. Some things may not work as they should (or don't work at all).
We suggest you upgrade newer and better browser like: Chrome, Firefox, Internet Explorer or Opera

No problem. As a bonus tip: If you go to C:\Windows\System32\drivers\etc and edit the file there called "hosts", you can make all Google sites and services work again buy copy/pasting the lines in the link below into the file and saving it. (make sure it saves with no .txt or other extension)

BrandeX: I have 0 problems with GOG in China. Why? It's actually only a DNS issue. Change your DNS server to something else than the default one from your Chinese ISP.
http://pcsupport.about.com/od/tipstricks/a/free-public-dns-servers.htm

Protip:
Use this handy automatic hosts file editor - https://github.com/huhamhire/huhamhire-hosts/releases

and most of the internet will work normally again inside China without the need for VPN/Proxy.
great!

That is why! I thought my personal VPN was better than the one at my work (gog is blocked at my work but not at home)

Thanks dude!
As for the editor, many of the hosts entries have since been blocked I believe. I suggest just using the Google entries in the program, or manually copy/pasting them from the page I linked above.
I live in China as well and since I don't use any Google products or Facebook, etc., it's not worth it to download a VPN.

In any case, none of the above Solutions work for me.

When using any of the VPN above on just my laptop I cannot open any site, and when using any of them on the router nothing changes, I can only do the same things I normally can and downloading from GoG in any way is still impossible.

The program BrandeX linked cannot be downloaded in China, at least currently.

Anything else I can do?

Oh sheeeeeiiiit!!!!

This actually worked! Best of all: gog now requires you to enter these dumbass Captchas when you try to redeem a gift code. Since reCaptcha belongs to google, redeeming games seemed impossible without using a VPN. Well, not anymore! :D

Again, a thousand thanks to you, BrandeX! There should be a sticky thread with your workarounds. Without them, using gog in China has become pretty much impossible.

What operating system do you have on your laptop?

How To Change DNS Servers in Windows 10 or 8
How To Change DNS Servers in Windows 7
How To Change DNS Servers in Windows Vista
How To Change DNS Servers in Windows XP

I had to try a few of the public DNS servers linked in in BrandeX post. Some of them don't work at all. The Norton one does work for me. It makes some websites insufferably slow, but it was worth the trade. I didn't need the linked progam at all.

No need to use the program, you can do it manually.

The Google host file edit I linked above isn't blocked here. Copy/paste that in to your Windows host file, and Google stuff will work again. The key component is changing to a custom DNS server. The info at about.com linked above, also not blocked in China, tells you how to switch to another one. I use DynDns.
As I mentioned, none of the DNS Servers work. That means I know how to change them and have done so.

Most of them don't even let me access any websites, and the ones that do are no different than the original DNS Server. No improvement to anything related to GoG.

What I'm wondering about is what exactly the improvement other people have been talking about is. Does that mean it didn't work for them at all before? Because I could always download the games through Galaxy, it just took very Long because it only loaded for a short while, then stopped, then loaded again. The Speeds were about 500 MB/s while my connection is capable of much, much more.

If what other users reported just means that it works for them AT ALL now, then that would explain why ther is no change for me.
