It's over. I won't get to play it for the first time again, and that is deeply upsetting. It has also been said that this was Geralt's last game. The finality of it all has affected me because I was so invested in the story, the characters, the world - something a game hasn't done to me in a long time! Internally, I'm struggling to decide whether this should be an open love letter to CD Projekt Red, or a infantile, irrational "fuck you" for creating something so special and not making it last forever.

Maybe I just need some warm milk and a nap...

Luckily i'm not even close to completing the main quest myself yet.

And there's always the expansion pass if you want more witcher ;)
Yeah, I felt a sense of loss after finishing the game, but I'm compensating for that by reading the excellent novels .
I'm still deep early into TW1. But hopefully CDPR makes an RPG next time. It'd be great to have an RPG set in the universe with Sorcerer, Witcher etc as playable classes. Also, what about Alvin? He's a Source, and he says he want to become a Witcher. What happens to him?

You mean the nothing you currently get for purchasing it? :-P

How about supporting a developer that actually prioritizes PC over consoles, or a developer that supports drm free gaming, or a developer that makes great games. Why is there this perceived motion that something extra must be offered by the developer, how about buying something because you like it and want the developer to be able to make more games.

Just a thought.
I'll be very happy if Cyberpunk 2077 is as good or better than TW3.

How about buying it when it's actually out and you know if you like it?

You don't actually know if you like it until you try it though, are you suggesting to go pirate it first to see if it's good?

Well, you replied to someone saying you don't get anything if you buy it now with stuff like "buying to support", so I presumed you meant preordering was the way to show support. If I was wrong, I apologize, but it did come accross that way.

There are previews, reviews, forum comments... it may not be easy to be sure if you like something with that, but it's way harder when the content is still in the cooker and won't be available for months.

Quote "why is there this perceived motion that something extra must be offered by the developer" that was my point, not to expect something for free, but to just support the developer because they made something you like.

Again, you were replying to a person pointing out that buying it now gets you exactly nothing at all. Nobody asked anything for free.

which implies they want something extra, I'm just saying buying something because something extra is offered is the wrong way to go, no matter when you buy it.

No, it doesn't. It implies that if you buy something now you get nothing now.

The whole "something extra for free" argument is a whole different one, and I could get on that one as well but it's completely off topic.
