Like whenever I see the latest shit storm against a gaming publisher or developer for say a game, an action a publisher does, a comment a developer says everyone rages while I just sit back and watch and just think of a rational or at least realistic point of view.

Let me give you an example:

Currently everyone is having an over-zealous internet war against Konami as of late and it all stems from all the rage at the descision to cancel Silent Hills, fire Kojima, and take P.T. out of the PS4 store.

And now we have slews of articles decrying Konami between them saying they want to focus on Mobile, and that Konami treats its employees like crap. Everyone I have seen is so blinded by their passions as gamers where as I only can just see the reality as to why Konami is like this as of late. Perhaps its because gaming budgets got big and Konami cannot afford AAA games? Or Konami just cannot compete with the rest of AAA publishers? And has Konami always been this brutal to its employees since their inception?

But thats how I see it, but if I was as I used to be back in say 2011 I would jump on the bandwagon and say Fuck Konami aswell. But I lost my drive for doing that because I already spent so much and I have already been through such outrages and realized my anger was all of nothing in the end.

I was there. I remember hating on Resident Evil 6 for dumbing itself down of the COD audiance. No horror, all action, barely resembling the classic games, I was there when we were against On-Disc DLC and Online Passes as a method of stifling used games, I was there when EA and Bioware fucked over Dragon Age II. I have been through all of that. But now I just feel like I am burnt out because I have been through so much rage.

To me I think it started ever since the Mass Effect 3 ending fiasco and seeing EA as being considered the worst company in America; even beating the companies that were responsible for the economic crash of 2008.

Does anyone at least understands why I feel this way now?

You're getting old. Congrats. Means you went a good while without dying. Keep it up.

And I am just 22 years old. Most of the guys I see railing against Konami and EA these days are all in their 30s.
Bump?
Welcome to my life since... can't remember when. But then again i also lack any passion for a franchise or developers.

Not to say that nowadays people like to argue more about what happens "outside" the videogames than actually playing videogames and discussing them but what really bothers me is that supposedly i have to pick a side because i can't be "indiferent" to whatever is happening....
Nope sorry dude, outraged gamers HAVE done things, even brought down entire companies. They have forced developers and publishers to think like ethical people or at least TRY to. Except EA. Fuck EA. And Activision. Those two can rot in hell but the other developers are at least making the effort. And indie gaming wouldn't have become as big if we didn't get on here and express our frustrations about AAA game publishers.
We DO make a difference. Keep up the good fight.

Well go on without me. Me I am just gonna sit back and play games and watch shows I never seen before like Star Trek DS9 and try to learn how to drive a car.

I spent my outrage the most on Dragon Age II and then I just accepted that there will be no sequal to that Dragon Age Origins gameplay.

There may be, but you'll probably have to look outside of Dragon Age to find it. This probably isn't the forum to talk about AAA gamers and be noticed though.
Take this approach to most everything. It won't make you less angry but it will make you angry for less time.

Totally understand, by the way.

Perhaps I could try visiting the Escapist forums. It be awkward if I end up chatting with people there who are GOG forum regualars.

I really hope that's not the case. Most people in their 30s (should) have way more important things to worry about in their lives than trivial shit like the ending of Mass Effect 3, which games are sold by Target in Australia, or the feminist YouTube videos of Anita Whatsherface. I'm still not quite sure what Gamergate is and I don't really care enough to find out. I just like to play games and have a little fun.

I am in favor of Gamergate and I am against the likes of Anita and all these SJW Manjinas.

GamerGate showed to me how extremist and irrational the leftist are and they are not better than Right Wing Politics.

Thanks to people like Sargon of Akkad and Thunderf00t.

But of course I am not going to constantly talk about it like how most of the people commenting in the GamerGate thread I mean my goodness just how much is there to talk about its like a never ending debate about the existance of gods.

You're my new best friend... (for the next 5 minutes.)

Fighting passion?

I thought this thread was about gradually stop playing "Street Fighter".

The thing is I don't know how to properly describe how I feel and what I think when regards to gaming. I just came up with "Fighting Passion" heck I was just going to say "Passion" only.
