Like whenever I see the latest shit storm against a gaming publisher or developer for say a game, an action a publisher does, a comment a developer says everyone rages while I just sit back and watch and just think of a rational or at least realistic point of view.
Let me give you an example:
Currently everyone is having an over-zealous internet war against Konami as of late and it all stems from all the rage at the descision to cancel Silent Hills, fire Kojima, and take P.T. out of the PS4 store.
And now we have slews of articles decrying Konami between them saying they want to focus on Mobile, and that Konami treats its employees like crap. Everyone I have seen is so blinded by their passions as gamers where as I only can just see the reality as to why Konami is like this as of late. Perhaps its because gaming budgets got big and Konami cannot afford AAA games? Or Konami just cannot compete with the rest of AAA publishers? And has Konami always been this brutal to its employees since their inception?
But thats how I see it, but if I was as I used to be back in say 2011 I would jump on the bandwagon and say Fuck Konami aswell. But I lost my drive for doing that because I already spent so much and I have already been through such outrages and realized my anger was all of nothing in the end.
I was there. I remember hating on Resident Evil 6 for dumbing itself down of the COD audiance. No horror, all action, barely resembling the classic games, I was there when we were against On-Disc DLC and Online Passes as a method of stifling used games, I was there when EA and Bioware fucked over Dragon Age II. I have been through all of that. But now I just feel like I am burnt out because I have been through so much rage.
To me I think it started ever since the Mass Effect 3 ending fiasco and seeing EA as being considered the worst company in America; even beating the companies that were responsible for the economic crash of 2008.
Does anyone at least understands why I feel this way now?
