tinyE: I got that captcha one time and never since? Did I unknowingly disable it?
Just a question, are you logged into Google?

I don't think so. I don't know. why?

Well, I know that if you are, you tend to get free passes on the Catchpas. (As I've never had to deal with them.)

my email is a gmail account. but I'm not on that page right now. I don't know. :P these computers are a mystery. I'm just a caveman. This technology frightens and confuses me.
I mentioned in one of the other threads about this that I got asked about storefronts and got nothing but back of the building shots.

edit: The reCaptcha version we use here also has an audio clue. Folks may want to give that a shot and see if that is any different. I'm 50/50 on that but wanted to mention it.

To clarify, reCaptcha is a service of Google. They bought it a few years back.

Fairfox: 'Completely Automated Public Turing Tests to Tell Computers and Humans Apart'

S"liek they came up with teh acronym 'n' then based teh words 'round it...
It does. And it seems a lot like "gotcha!".

I wonder whether the computer programmers who write these programs have ever met humans other than computer programmers.

I mean, who goes around having conversations with other people by asking them to point out all the road signs or whatever, and when they fail to spot all of them tell that person that they failed as a person? And here we've got computer programmers doing that by proxy. Weird.

tinyE:
Caveman or a robot... have you been smoking again? Are you associated with certain "individuals"?

"gotcha!"

Who knows. Maybe Google have a basement with engineered programmers that thinks in probability and statistical analysis and never had any "friend".

I think if you log in and go through the Captcha once, you don't need to again on the same machine until the GOG cookie expires.

No, that can't be it. GOGmodeus demands frequent sacrifices...
