Only two that looks nice:
1) The King Of Fighters '98 Ultimate Match Final Edition
2) Metal slug X

The rest meh, so going to try on SG :P. And DotEmu's ports is based on MAME anyway.
Flipped off like a happy penguin when I saw this, all those Metal Slug games for Linux and DRM-Free. Pulstar brings many memories, looks like an enhanced remake of R-Type.

After all the Steam crap finally a good bundle.

catpower1980: OK, since no-one has yet said it, I'll do it:

Why should I pay for games which have been available for years through arcade emulators? And in this case, what's the plus-value if it's just simple "wrapped-up" emulation like some dosbox stuff on GOG?

OK, you can throw stones at me now :o)
(but hey, I'm honestly quite sceptical about this bundle, so I welcome answers)

synfresh: Because emulation of the roms isn't legal if you don't own the original games? Isn't this the same argument as abandonware?
What's the point of this bundle if the games don't even offer you a way of changing the game input? C'mon, for fighter games that's a must! At least King of Monsters didn't let you when I tried it, it just shows the current layout.

So you can have a glimpse of the "emulation"
Bought it even though I already had the KOF games on Steam... and probably MS as well...
meh.. only $10...

Also, you can't apparently tweak the render settings (like the upscale mode) and I think my old Logitech pad is not Xinut so it shouldn't be compatible with those versions (although it works perfectly with MAME and other emulators)

dutchexcalibur: The DRM-free Windows version of Metal Slug 3 that was promised back for the PC & Android 10 in June 2014 has finally arrived. If you bought that bundle, you should see the Windows download now.
Nope. Just checked and it's still not showing up in my account. Hopefully soon!
+1 for DRM-free, at least
I can't fathom the goodness in this Humble Bundle. Just two games that are only Steam. The rest are even DRM-free games that are exclusive only to freaking Humble Bundles. Now we'll see who will complain about lack of Steam keys. Heh!

I'll buy the first tier, and when I can, download one of the titles and give ya'll a glimpse. Probably KoF 2000.

Lots of platformers and fighting games. And/or browser games. Great, wallet is safe.

Having in mind the "Debut" state of the ports, we might see them on Steam, and they usually provide Steam keys when that happens. Unless the publisher will change. I don't think they can provide keys in those cases.
I must admit, i'm one of these weirdos. I like having all games in as less places possible, so i highly prefer Steam or GOG platforms for all my games. Don't like keeping installers backed up, i like downloading them when i want to and i don't like trying to remember on what website i bought that game.

Anyway, in my opinion, any kind of ports should be supported more than anything, even if you might not find the games so great. I still hope to see games like Final Fantasy, Chrono Trigger or Xenogears ported on PC one day.

A lot of people on the neogaf thread actually, but that's neogaf so it's not surprising.... :o)

Back in the days, a neo-geo cartridge (thus, a single game) costed the equivalent of 250 euros..... ^o^

Well, the fact that they debuted first on Humble Bundle and not DRM-free should be a blow, minor as it is. That said, my main thought is to see these ports ported DRM-free as well, which is not a hope when you consider the titles you mentioned.

Heh. Let them complain.
But oh boy, the prices. Its a good thing we're having them for a fraction of the price, and that's a bunch of titles not one.

Nice bundle, it's just unfortunate that the NeoGeo catalog basically consists of fighters which are not my kind of thing.
Now an Atari Jaguar bundle, that would be interesting.
Is this some kind of joke? NeoGAF doesn't accept GMail or Hotmail? You know, the email services that the MAJORITY uses?
