Timboli: I have a fair number of Humble Store games, though only DRM-Free ones, many of which also came with a Steam Key.
I stopped buying from them a few months back though, due to poor support and lack of being able to trust them. They say the issue does not lie with them, and even recently, after a few months, offered to refund for the game in question. That last bit is good I guess, in some ways, but I would prefer to have a good copy of the game.
No idea why it is so hard to get a good copy. The download failed the MD5 check after many repeated downloadings using different browsers and downloaders. Just to be sure it wasn't just a wrong MD5 value, I also tested the zip file using 7-Zip, which reported an error. So the file is definitely corrupt. Clearly they had a good copy at some point, which matched the listed MD5 value. Why they can't find that copy or get again from the DEV/PUB I don't know.
Anyway, while I did not pay a lot for the game in question, I could have, and I could even have played the game and gotten partway through and then not been able to proceed any further due to a file corruption issue. I could not imagine waiting for months to resume play with a good copy that might not be able to resume where I left off ... talk about spoil the game experience. I wouldn't want to risk that with a truly good game, so how can I trust Humble to get their act together quickly ... I simply can't. So with that in mind, I feel I cannot any longer buy from them.
P.S. Many of those games I have bought from Humble, do get an update now and then, so it isn't true there are no updates, though there is no detail about the updates.
Not only there is almost no support, there is no forum so if something goes wrong you are on your own and you can't ask anything to other users before purchase. Anyway I prefer to keep my games here...Humble is the only one that had a few Android drm free games but those releases are slowing down now.
