Your post reminded me of another "edutainment" game, Pyramid: Challenge of the Pharaoh's Dream, in which you supervise the building of a pyramid throughout the years while solving puzzles and interacting with the people living near the construction site. It even included a senet minigame (an Egyptian board game similar to backgammon).
I learned so much about Ancient Egypt with that game as a kid, and it certainly helped to spark my passion for History. I wish it was available on GOG!
