I'm having the same issue.

Can confirm that the "Clear All" button once you receive a new notification works the same way as the command. The DOT comes back moments later after disappearing.

Clear All under the bell icon (available only if you have unread PM) works the same way as the console code.

For me the Purple dot notification reappears ONLY when I get a new forum reply, that pattern has not changed since March 25, 2021. And I expect it to change by tomorrow, if not then I'll have to file a ticket to Tech. Support.

And also jeez GOG how have you not fixed this yet? More so now it gets stuck every time you get any reply now. Its gotten worse.

No matter what I try, the very moment I refresh the forum with F5 the DOT will be back. Incredible that this bug has still not been fixed yet.

I'm not buying any new games before The Dot goes away.

That's odd, some users can't remove the Dot even with the console code. I wonder what's your OS, especially browser type and if it run in Incognito mode or something, or with particular app extensions enabled.

It’s not odd. I have had that dot issue for years, forum has always been broken. I have never been able to clear that dot, nor open old posts (as the you have x replies just times out. I have no extensions, clear cookies and close at end of session. Just a garbage website they never bothered fixing. Use the optional client and all that.

I'm not using a "supported browser", but has anyone who does sent in a support ticket about it?

Same with me, I have one on my account right now. Be it via PC browser Mozilla Firefox or via mobile phone Adblock Browser (Google Chrome without ads), the purple dot is always there. And if it passes away randomly one day, it comes back the next one. It lasts for months.

This is who I've become now... logging on to GOG via my browser... holding my breath after I've entered my username and password... wondering if that purple dot will show up again... LOL! I'm laughing but I want to cry.

Think of it as a wizard's wisp type of companion in GOGLand. When it's around you get +10 to your mana pool and a boost to your mana regen. There, problem solved :P.

I have that purple dot since weeks, if not months. Sometimes it disappears, randomly, but mostly it's there. And I already had given up on it. As this thread appeared again on the first forum page I've given the fix another try. It worked, the purple dot disappeared. But after a few minutes it happily was back, without a forum reply, of course...
