black_zion: Put on your thinking caps and go back nearly 30 years to the days of "load a boot floppy, then load a program floppy" for these first two. The first one is an ASCII text graphics game I think was called "Slan", which involved navigating a "happy face" character through the game. The second is also ASCII (I think), and involved moving a |-o-| shaped object around (ship), blasting enemies and bases. No idea of the title.

The third though, I only remember seeing it in an arcade. It was a typical top down flight shooter like Raptor, but the game area was in multiple directions over the course of the stage, and you could choose if your side ships were fixed or were "smart" and moved around in a circle to block shots. It's not Gradius.

Any ideas?
I vaguely remember the second one, I'm fairly certaint it was a clone, and might have even been an ascii take on Defender. I seem to remember the symbol resembled a tangled pocket watch, and it shot bars of color for the "laser beam" or what have you. Any of that ring a bell?
Is it possible that the first one was something from the "Kroz" series?

Yea, I remember that, beams of asterisks.

Don't think so, this game took place across multiple screens.
