Hatoful boyfriend is one of those weird games I once bought during a sale and never got to try.
I wonder why they're being delisted. Poor sales?

Sad to see Hatoful Boyfriend go, because it's not only a good game with a fantastic story, but also part of GOG history: it was the first game streamed on GOG's Twitch channel. And it was that stream that convinced me to give the game a try after all.

Maybe because the publisher is not devolver but epic games? At least that's what I see on steam. Hopefully the games will return soon. I had my eye on the 2nd game because I got the 1st one from humblebundle (Also they are delisted on Humble too)

Thanks for the info. I never got to play them because of lack of time and extreme backlog but I always heard good things about them. I also hope they'll return.

It was an inferior version without the Japanese text so...I bought it on Steam. The "GOG dumpster" edition was actually lacking Japanese, French, Italian, German, Spanish and Russian! It's good that it's gone!
And the Christmas special should have been free extra content at best.

Fun fact: I own the game on humble as well and I might have gifted away the Steam key tzhat was included (at least I could not find the game in my library right now). I am downloading the humble DRM free version right now to check ifit has German as well. The Collector's Edition even on steam does NOT list German which is the reason why I am really surprised right now because yes, in that case I would already have tried to make or get a German patch for it which - as you guessed - was the reason why I asked in the first place :)

Edit: CE of the DRM-free humble version is English only :(

I just noticed that I don't even own the GOG version - only the humbe version which might be identical - don't knbow. And yes. I also found the unicode localisation file you mentioned. Problem probably is that yout'll have to change the active localisation which might only be possible with the executable. Maybe you could send me the executable and localisation file only ao I can see if it will run with the humble release (and hopefully with GOG as well).
