It seems that you're using an outdated browser. Some things may not work as they should (or don't work at all).
We suggest you upgrade newer and better browser like: Chrome, Firefox, Internet Explorer or Opera

Did you check the PC Gaming Wiki? What's the problem exactly?

It seems the game should run fine, but it uses an old 16 bit installer. You could:

_ Get an updated installer. See here:

http://www.videogameperfection.com/2012/05/23/no-one-lives-forever-fixed-installers-for-64-bit/

OR

_ Install on an XP virtual machine

Virtual machines are generally very bad at simulating forper 3D features, so that might not be a good idea with lithtech games. But, to be fair, it might work ok, haven't tried it myself yet.

But I meant only for the installation. After that it should run from Windows 7, though it might need some registry changes.
Just installed my game of the year edition on Win7 64bit. Works just fine.

Yes, according to Google, GOTY has updated installers. So I guess OP has the regular version.

It seems so. Then your links to compatible 16bit instalers are indeed the best solution here.
The 32bit installers didn't work for me
It all installs fine but the game doesn't launch..

Are the patches necessary? Because the game doesn't work if I install em =/

I tried it a while ago and it works too except the mouse input is bit wonky.

Yeah, that is something to consider. I didn't think much of it, it could probably be alleviated by fiddling with the options and mouse dpi a bit.

Did you try the compatibility modes?

There are like 16375 compatibility combinations though, do you have any hunches on where to start?
I can get the screen to flash black if windows NT 4.0 and disabling visual themes, composition and DPI and running it as admin but that's as far as I can get

Which version of the game do you have? If you do not have the GOTY Edition you will need a patch. I have the game fully working on my WIN7 64 bit gaming rig without issue.
