Yup, there is such a day:

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/International_Men%27s_Day

Like International Woman's Day, it's set aside to discuss and promote Men's physical and mental health issues, their own reproductive rights, etc.

While it doesn't get the same news coverage as International Woman's Day, it does get some:

That link by the way is me assuming the url I got from Google News is not going to paste that well.

My local news hasn't even mentioned it.

Fairfox: Isn't this every day? I mean... srsly?
No, it's not. A friendly reminder that I'm a male victim of domestic violence, spend 6 weeks in the hospital because of her and couldn't even get the police to take a report about it.

And a bunch of more things but im going to be busy for th enext 20 mintes.

Oh, come on - men can't be victimized by women.....

or so the feminist say.

¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Happy men day, I guess.
Well it's not everyday that men get to be congratulated on their accomplishments, sacrifices and hard work in life.

Unlike International Women's day where women get congratulated just for popping out a few bastard kids and being an "awesome mom" while living on welfare.

Happy men's day.

A civilization can only be as strong as it's men.

I'm a feminist and I disagree with your claim. (I believe drmike here, at least in the absence of further evidence.)

Every time International Women's Day comes round, some dickhead goes "wawawa, where's International Men's Day?". If they actually cared they'd know when it was, but as usual they're just looking for an excuse to be offended when things aren't entirely about them.

Of course, the function of International Men's Day is very different but no less important.

BS

All the feminists I know including myself take any and all domestic violence seriously. Your misrepresentation of feminism is part of the reason it is needed.

As with any political ideology the word itself means different things to different people. You and the ones you know are not necessarily the entirety of those calling themselves that. There are bad ones out there too. To some people it is about equality, and that's good. To others it's about gaining the upper hand or vengeance or other such things, and that's bad.

You and him are probably talking about these two different things that happen to go by the same name.

The complaints were the state and 3rd parties concerning themselves with womens interests inan over the top and patronising manner.

I do not direct this towards you but unfortunately they do not. Last time I was in my county's board of election office and tried to bring this up, the lady behind the counter pointed me to the leaflets they had on domestic violence, pointed out that all of them had females on the covers and asked me if what I was saying was true, where were the pictures of men?

Oh and when I complained about the incident to the county manager's office, they didn't see it as an issue.

I'm not saying that doesn't happen, I guess I'm saying that's not part of feminism. That lady might have been a feminist, but on top of that she was sexist. The two can do occur together, but one does not cause the other.

You make a good point, but it's also easy to say that about anything. There are people who claim to be Muslims who then go and blow people up but I don't take that as representative of Islam. I guess I'm saying people have a responsibility to educate themselves. If someone claims to be a feminist and then actually demonstrates themselves to be a misandrist it doesn't mean that feminism is in itself misandrinistic.

Nope, I've seen plenty of people actually going "Why isn't there an International Men's Day then!?".
