DD & Ji Ji: I just don't understand why so many horror themed games are not on sale . The wonders of the Gog sales team 's brain .
I'm kind of wondering about the opposite. A lot of non-horror themed games are on sale. For example - the Anno games, Horizon Zero Dawn, Stronghold Crusader HD, to name a few.
avatar
HunchBluntley: This would be irrelevant if they brought back the "by date added" sort order in the main search page. Why they took it away in the first place, I can't even guess.
avatar
mrkgnao: Perhaps because it is a pain to maintain it correctly, both backwards and forwards (I should know, as I had implemented it in MaGog).
A pain in GOG's particular case -- given how they've chosen to structure things "behind the scenes", for instance -- or just in a general sense, as in "this would be a pain for most any site to properly implement & maintain"?

A very GOG-specific pain.

Don't they need a approval for game to be on sale??

I was going to say, it seems like it shouldn't be such an onerous thing to systematize, generally speaking (though I'm no programmer or designer). "Because GOG" makes more sense. =)

No kidding. You'd think it'd be one of the simplest things, a specific, fixed, easily sortable value, simpler than pretty much any of the existing sorting options, even by title, since there you have to deal with those starting with The, and maybe also A(n)...

Are you using incognito or clearing cache after every visit perhaps? The pop-up is designed to only trigger once and then never again.

DD & Ji Ji: I miss the " build your own halloween bundle " option .
Yeah, some of the past Halloween Sales were very good. I remember some game series bought during HS and disappointing Winter Sales coming next. This time I'd rather wait for December.

Except for Black Mirror series (I've never finished the first one) and Feudal Alloy. These ones reached historical lows and looks like worth a few bucks :)
Since it is on sale I have a question for owners of "The Walking Dead Definitive Series". Is the audio commentary in the GOG version available offline as well or do you need internet connection (so that it basically just provides a link to stream) as it seems to be the case in other versions?
