Also, if you love dark aesthetics and Halloween themes as much as we do, make sure to check out our latest blog entry about the most beautiful and unique art styles in scary games. You can find it right HERE.

There’s not much left to say other than we wish you an incredible Halloween and have fun with all the discounted titles!

Most of the prices are "the same as always". But there are some better than usual:
Westmark Manor -50% (but it's half of Steam's price)
Black Mirror classic trilogy -80% (not too often on sale)
Styx: Shards of Darkness -85%
Partisans 1941 Extended Edition -75%
Syberia 3: The Complete Journey -90%
Thanks for the free game, even though in all truth it's not one I was interested in and won't probably play it in a long time...

Mateuszy: Nice sale, but to be honest i counted for Dawn of War release.
Ability to play Necr... i mean spooky scary skeletons vs knights in almost-shining armour would somehow bring Halloween mood.
Not sure about the Halloween connection, however I was hoping for that, too. I'm starting to fear, the Administratum might be in charge of the release...

viperfdl: Pretty scary...
I think I'm safe...

TheGreatDustpan: Halloween would be a great time to drop Condemned: Criminal Origins from SEGA
Seconded.

avatar
darkangelz: gog, can you not post 11+ news in a single day, or increase the number availible to scroll trough at the main page bottom section. As is, i have no way to tell if i missed a newspost.
Seconded as well. Maybe they could even place the news section a bit higher on the page, rather than at the bottom?

GOG.com: Chasm: The Rift with a 25% discount!
avatar
ssling: That didn't take long.
I will wait for at least 50% discount. I have many games in my backlog, so I'm in no hurry.
Can we finally get FAITH: The Unholy Trinity please?

Barrow Hill series $3.90

P-E-S: Oh, look! A giveaway for a game that I already own and is still sitting in my backlog. =/

Some of the "new" releases look pretty good.

Also, what does Horizon have to do with Halloween? =P How about we get some more of them Sony games? *nudge nudge*
Don't you see the connection with Halloween?
Isn't it scary enough to be mired in an eternal yet futile hope for more Sony releases just because the presence of Horizon is fueling that desire?

GOG.com: Chasm: The Rift with a 25% discount!

ssling: That didn't take long.
Well, it's still at least 5 bucks too expensive.
Cant purchase anything from the sale because of the insistence of this illogical sale page format.

Will not be buying from sale pages till this nonsense is stopped. Guess it gives me more time to work through my 700 game backlog.
Really no Silent Hill 4 sale for Halloween?

!!!

Gato_Morato: Really no Silent Hill 4 sale for Halloween?

!!!
Nosferatu Wrath of Malachi and many other horror games are missing. Halloween sales are always weird here.

What gets me even more is the number of games with higher discounts but higher prices as well. Seems games are getting boostered regular prices making these discounts in a number of cases pretty dismal

(wasn't XCOM 2 $2.99 @ 90% off awhile back? now it's $5.99 @ 90% off.)

I was hoping for a better-than-usual discount for Dead Space or maybe even a surprise release of the sequels. But instead it's not even on sale at all. Oh well, there's still something in the sale I'm pondering whether to buy.

You can't split the tags for italics and such across multiple lines. You have to italicize each line to get it to show up.
The quizz is stupid.

It starts with "so you don't know what game, type of game you want to play" - asks what type of game you want to play.

Then does ignores what type of game you mark: I got a sorvival FPS while definitely not marking those categories.

Also: why is roguelike combined with hack&slash?
For this I literaly could not pick any answer from the options, as I hate all the options- H&S would have been fine, I assume, but not with roguelike involved! Pn top of it until I picked something the quiz did not let me continue...

My bet goes, the quiz is fake, and either everyone gets the same recommendation, or gets a random title from a tiney-tiny pool.
Nice Halloween sale... greetings from the GOG bear. ;P

To me it looks like the quiz knows what type of game I like to play.
