Ever since the initial beta announcement, I have yet to receive Gwent mail. Not that I'm complaining, but CDProjekt must have noticed how much I complain about all the time I'm wasting playing Hearthstone, and decided I'm a lost cause.

Psykopat89: Okay, seriously, I've received Gwent emails over the past several months now - the first couple of times I just unsubscribed. Then, after they still kept coming, I started to "mark as spam". Then when they STILL kept coming, after having marked them as spam several times (usually Gmail's spam filter is pretty decent) AND having unsubscribed, I have now had to manually create a filter that automatically marks all emails that even contains the word "gwent".

Is this really how you want to do things, CDPR? Really? do you WANT unhappy customers by forcing marketing down people's throats? Can you not get a player base in an honest, non obtrusive way? This is starting to get really ugly.

Shame on you.

I HAVE already used those links and unsubscribed, even specifically (via other links not provided in this thread) for Gwent. Jesus fucking christ.
That's really not a nice thing to say to a person was just trying to help. Even if you are (rightfully) angry, you are not angry at drmike. You could simply have said "thanks for the help but I already tried those". No need to get rude.

I believe the last time i had uninstalled and unsubscribed from gwent , i havent received any emails afterwards from them in my inbox / spam folder!

If someone takes a condescending tone with me (*sigh* and "Look. Up.") then I will sure as shit take a condescending tone right back. Only difference is I will not be a subtle asshole about it - I will be very direct. I do appreciate people trying to help (those are in this thread as well - they are awesome) but be a condescending little asshole and you will be treated back exactly the same way.

For an example of a person just genuinely being nice and helping out, without a condescending asshole tone, look at zeogold's reply to this topic. It really is as easy as he or she makes it look!

Are you serious right now? Really, you're going to keep on acting as if you didn't come off as an arrogant, condescending little asshole? Once again, look at zeogold's reply, then look at your own. See if you can figure out the difference.

Anyway, you didn't help me. Other people did. Most importantly, the official staff did actually end up taking it up, even though I was in the wrong forum - because surprise surprise - they are still connected! So I guess it wasn't such a horribly wrong forum after all! Oh dear. Doesn't look too good for you.

In any case, maybe you should take your own advice. If you're trying to pass off as 'helpful', don't sound like an asshole while doing it. Especially not when other people are clearly better at articulating what you were trying to say than you.

There were some technical issues between databases, and when you unsubscribed from the newsletter it was marked in one place but it was not marked in another, thus you still got notifications. It's all fixed now and you should not receive any GWENT newsletters anymore.

On a side note, please keep you language appropriate, since we won't tolerate personal attacks and being offensive to other users. Throwing names at others will result in a ban.

By the way, if you actually read through my posts, I have at no point made any name calling. Not one single instance.
I have said that someone sounds like or comes off as something derogatory, but that is by very definition not the same thing. Also not a personal attack. Not my fault if you don't know the difference.

Am I doing it right? Is that more subtle?
