I recently tried out GTA V in a net cafe and i think my opinion on it might change. I know there are people here who play it a lot, so i want to ask for some gameplay elements or generic questions of mine. I just might consider buying it (on next sales and discount, of course)!

1) I bumped and bumped with cars on hard surfaces, but only once a car exploded. The exploding cars are no longer regular thing? Most of the times, i died from the collision, since GTA IV onward, you take damage for that...

2) Motorbikes. Unlike the 3d era ones, here whenever you hit on something, you take damage. In 3d era, this happened only if you fell from a good height. Especially hitting on the margin between the roads in the middle, can kill you instantly, even on full health. Is there any workaround for it, or a mod, or something? Driving a motorbike in GTA IV and V is like a terrible nightmare...

3) What happens when the meter gets full, while spending quality time with a stripper? Also, is there a way to touch them without the goons noticing and throwing you out of the shop?

4) Is there a mod or anything, that prevents all this stupid realism-wannabe headache from stopping you having fun with the game, like in the 3d era of it? I want to drive like public danger again, like the good old days, but game punishes you seriously for doing just that...

5) Am i doing something wrong? First time cops come, they start SHOOTING, while i merely brawled with a pedestrian and didn't pull a gun out, having only ONE STAR! Is it normal, or are the cops out to kill niggaz, just like in the states in offline mode?

6) Is the army absent from this game? A.K.A. No sixth star? And why? And what does this mean? Are tanks, combat helicopters and combat planes available to steal, at least?

7) Why the paint shop was closed? It said something like "this hour it is not open". Does it have working hours in this game? Or do i need to unlock it through a mission?

8) Sometimes, after wrecking a car to a very sorry and pitiful condition, i entered it and tried to make it move, but it wouldn't start. Is this a bug or works as intended? If it works as intended and the car is a good sports one i don't want to loose, are there vehicles like the Tractor and Towtrack of San Andreas, to drag them in my garage?

9) Will GTA VI be a Vice City Remake?

10) Will GTA VI finally abolish this abominable realism-wannabe thing?

KiNgBrAdLeY7: snip....
First off, I barely play GTA5(only 20H), I'm all in GTA Online (more than 200H) so some subtleties may differ.....

1) For cars to blow up, you really have to hit them (or get hit) with explosives. Or you need a looooooot of patience to blow them up by just bumping.

2) Well, yeah, riding motorbikes can be deadly but it's not a nightmare at all, you just play it wrong I guess :o) Seriously, they're almost so over-cheated in terms of maneuverability and acceleration that it's easier to go through a city at near full-speed than with a car. Pro-tip: get the Akuma (although I don't know how to get it in story mode). Of course, if it's for a kind of getaway mission, a car is more recommended so you're allowed some errors.

3) Never went to the strip-club in the game (not open in the online version) so you'll have to experiment ;)

4) Like all solo GTA, there are cheat codes:
http://www.gamefaqs.com/pc/805606-grand-theft-auto-v/cheats
the one you're looking for is "LAWYERUP" (you don't have to bring up the phone for that one)

5) Yep, cops are out to kill every trespassers so watch out what you're doing :o) Actually, in GTA online, you can use your phone (and some money) to automatically erase your wanted level or bribing for 5 minutes where you can do whatever you want without getting the police on your back.

6) I never reached the 6 stars (because I'm a pacifist ^o^) but I guess you didn't explore the map enough because the main military base is in the left-center of the map. Actually, in some online daily objectives, you even have to steal military vehicles ;)

7) Car paint&repair&tune shop is always open, I guess you didn't get far enough in the story.

8) Yep, can happen :o) For towing them it's a bit a waste of time because you just have to drive a bit around in the main city (particularly in the area around Michael's house) to get your hands on a nice & fast brand new car. You don't even have to buy them like in the Online version to be able to stock them in your garage.

9&10) God only knows.....

Sounds like you're expecting it to be too much like the first two.

1. Hopefully. Heck I also hope they include countryside aswell.

2. WHAT?! So flying in Jets, Finding Alien ships, going on acid trips is NOT ENOUGH FOR YOU?!

YOU STILL THINK ITS TOO REALISTIC?!

???? 3/4 of the map are "countryside" (that's where I spent most of my time). Or maybe you mean the solo story taking more place outside of the city?
I've backed off GTA since IV. people who've seen my posts on this forum will already know why.

V was a big improvement. I hated GTA IV myself.
I have my own question too, if anybody can help. Is the boxed version (the Rockstar version?) on disc? Or does it just contain a download code? I'm on a limited internet connection and it would probably take all year for me to download it.

No the original vice city map was all city, it was practically an island city:

I am asking for the new vice city to not only have Vice City, but have CountrySide aswell like how GTA 5 and San Andreas had.

I mean its easy to imagine it. Since "Vice City" is pretty much Miami City in Florida. The whole city would be on the very east end while most of the western part is the countryside.

Florida is also known for having Swamplands/Marshes.

mine had a disk and the code to active it, Canada copy here which should still be the same as the us copy. but metal gear 5 had the steam installer and a code so that had no game on the disk lol

Me thinks the boxed version is tied to steam and you need to redeem it there.

I believe that, according to a couple of GTA Forums sources, that the boxed version only has the Rockstar Social Club as a form of DRM, though whether Denuvo has a hand or not, I dunno.

Answer the question of the strip club, I heard from one of my friends that yes, you could touch the strippers if the goons aren't looking. But the goons kicking you out, that sounds a bit mild for a punishment. I thought shooting you to death was the punishment.

Oh fuck, I read your message too quickly and thought you were talking about GTA 5, my mistake :o)

The versions sold by Rockstar only have the Rockstar Club DRM:

That's why those who bought the box version (or download version from Rockstar) can play the game while Steam users are raging like hell every time Valve servers are down (happened a few times already.....)

Any self-respecting man would touch the woman, are you serious? I just found it HARDER for in-game to do it while others don't look, unlike how i do in real life... Why would that need shooting to death? If you do it right, girls love a man's touch, you know!? Some even touch you back!

I feel like answering all that again.

1) They turned down how fast your car explodes I think from 4. You would just be tearing up the town in a new car and it would immediately explode, so they made them tougher.

2) You take damage from falling off motorbikes like you really would.

3) Dunno

4) I'm sure there is a mod for everything. Unless Steam has totally ruined the ability to mod things.

5) Cops are vicious, they will fill you full of bullets if you litter. They are also very good shots. I personally would have turned them down a bit, but considering one of the most succesful attributes of the very first GTA was crazy violent cops, I think they continued that.

6) 5 stars is just as bad as 6 stars from the previous games as far as I can tell.

7) Catpower is probably right. Some missions will only be available at certain times of day I think.

8) You broke the car, it won't start anymore. If you keep trying it may start up.

9) Possibly, I was expecting this to be more like Vice City 2, they thought San Andreas was a better idea. These new GTA's are somewhat more intricate than over styled previous GTA's. The 80's might be nice to revisit for the next one, unless they have a better idea. Or maybe they will just continue GTA Online, forever...

10) V was significantly less realistic than 4. But I think this is about the level it will continue at. There is all sorts of silly things like Rampages, UFO's etc. The missions are usually mush more immediate and into the action and varied. They added a mission restart button if you fail as well for impatient people.
