POLE7645: Let's just be patient. The more publisher sells games here (and the more games are sold here), the better the chances of Lucasarts accepting.
And beside, the current CEO won't remain here forever. The new one might have a more open view about copy protection or selling of old games (the same could be said for EA).

antihippie: Nobody clings to their intellectual property quite like Lucasarts. Like George himself, they would rather drive it steaming and dead into the ground before they let anyone else in. Grim Fandango, the Original Sam and Max, Day of the Tentacle, etc, etc. All of them brilliant games made by people that left the company long ago. They'll likely never see the light of day.

this is a tool they made to help people, not to sell commercially on a market to 3 year old kids who love Jar Jar Binks.
LucasArts is one of the most evil corporations ever, do you think they'd be inclined to sell their games without DRM?
they're more likely willing to sell your pieces of a game bit by bit via DLC..
$50 game, plus $10 for each weapon, 30 weapons total, plus $10 for each level, 20 levels total, plus $20 for dialogue, plsu another $50 for multiplayer, and plus $2 for skins for your guns, characters, and ammo for the guns.

BJWanlund: Honestly, EA isn't THAT much better: They used their "EA Gold Classics" label to pawn off old games they didn't care about anymore (like, say, PGA Tour Golf pre-Tiger, Theme Hospital, Wolfpack, etc.) as "new games" at new game prices.
Thank God for places like GOG. They keep the "new game prices" low, and if EA and others came on board, we'd have the same "gold classics" for MUCH less.
