You may find this question a bit stupid, but have you ever considered contacting GOG to see if they would be interested in getting your software available for their Eye of the Beholder games?

Since they're the games official publishers, they could release an optional version with your software included, in order to allow automaps (for players who - like me - have no patience for mapping them on paper).

You could maybe earn some $$ and they'd have an incentive to promote the EOB games for younger audiences.

This already exists. It's called the All-seeing Eye.

I didn't know about that. Thanks for the info.
Here's some more info on the Steam release.

Posting here because of one part of the annoucement which applies to all versions:
"* I intend to support v4.x (which launched in October 2016) with free updates until at least 2018."

Hope this reassures people who are concerned about a possible v5 coming out of nowhere.

vvv thanks!! vvv

Congratulations on getting your software on Steam :)

I hope it sells very well and helps you to fund and develop your projects.

That's good! Thanks :-)
v4.0.7 is finally available. As usual it's a free update for all v4.x customers.

407 has the following major changes ... which sound like nothing when written in a list, oh well :)

* New resizable split view-port system.
* Improved console display with colour support. [PRO]
* Updated Game Link protocol - DOSBox R15 required.
* Many fixes and tweaks.

I'm just putting the finishing touches to the Steam release now and all being well (which includes Valve's approval process) it'll be on sale early next month.

As mentioned long ago, as a special offer, if you've purchased (or upgraded to) Grid Cartographer 4 Professional Edition prior to OCT 31st 2017 then you can claim a complementary Steam key for your personal use (accessible after the Steam release date). After this point the web store and the Steam store will continue along as separate entities.

Just curious. When will you release the Steam version?
My key is not redeemed yet. Is it OK to redeem now before the release?

You can go ahead and redeem the key now, it will lie dormant in your account until I put the store page live and then be available when it is released.

I pushed the release back a bit to polish up the store page. Sorry for the inconvenience. I don't have a date set at this time but I'm hoping .. soon.

Also, just a reminder / clarification that if you owned a copy of GC4 _PRO_ prior to the end of October this year, you can claim a complementary Steam key from the grid cartographer dot com website. Even now in November, or in December, or whenever you read this / find out about it.

I had a plan to release it when my trailer video was done, but I've not had time to work on it and it's now Fed 2018, so I'm definitely starting to think I need a better plan.

Sorry for the delay and thanks for your patience.
