Awesome... gets me 2% cash back on every Apple Pay purchase... thanks GOG!
This is completely useless to me, but good for those who…

What is this for, anyway? Who is the target audience of this payment system?

See above. You can pay with cellphones (finger print identification). For the "phone-generation". :(

Paying with Apple pay is ultimately fast and comfortable from MacOS/iOS. Every extra click is opening more chances for user to not complete the purchase, to let him change his mind. So it is actually win for GOG and for user if speed and easiness is what he is looking for.

I would say pretty much anyone that uses it and I am pretty sure a lot of people actually do. Personally I am not to fond of using my CC in just any store on the web, I prefer to use some middle man that is secure and easy to deal with in case of problems, I do trust gog.com with it but I still use my preferred method of payment which is a middle man (neither of those 2 though).

GOG.com: and privacy of users.
I found this bit hillarious in a context with google :)

Well, I suppose that is great for the same flocks of sheep who will drop 1000$ on a shiny piece of aluminium.

I use Apple Pay whenever and wherever I can... mostly because of the convenience and security (the credit card number used via Apple Pay is not the actual credit card number, but a number unique to the device your'e on, so even if it got out into the wild, without being used on the device the number is tied to, you can't use it...

But the other main reason is because I get 2% back on every purchase made using Apple Pay, so it makes every game purchase a tad cheaper

Okay, sure. But who is regularly funnelling their money into Apple/Google to such amounts as to actually make this a viable way to purchase 50 USD games?

Google, Privacy... Pick one, not both.

As long as they don't load in the background until they're actually selected and used, and as long as you don't remove PaySafeCard.. Okay then..

this joke isnt funny anymore :(

Question, I've already asked in another thread - why even traditional payment methods (like card) now require to enable googlepay scripts? Is that just how adyen (or how gog's current payment processor called) works, or some sort of bug?
