muntdefems: The newly added game Sid Meier's Civilization IV®: The Complete Edition is regionally priced:

>>> It is $24.29 instead of $29.99 in CA
>>> It is $22.99 instead of $29.99 in regAR, CL, CO, MX, PE, UY
>>> It is $22.59 instead of $29.99 in AU, NZ
>>> It is $21.55 instead of $29.99 in CH, DK, NO, PL, SE
>>> It is $21.49 instead of $29.99 in regCZ, regDE, regIT, MC, MT, NL, SK
>>> It is $18.69 instead of $29.99 in GB
>>> It is $17.99 instead of $29.99 in UA, regUZ
>>> It is $13.19 instead of $29.99 in BR
>>> It is $11.19 instead of $29.99 in RU
That looks almost as if they changed price from 19.99 to 29.99 halfway through setting the regional ones. Everything cheaper and by quite a margin and Eurozone&co cheaper than South America. So, say, price was 19.99, they added regional ones for higher for most of EU&co based on that, then upped it to 29.99, then added South American discounts based on that, and then you have that result.

Crazy, that price for a game that age anyway.

Strange that it's cheaper here compared to Steam.

I think Cavalary might be onto something in his post above of yours...

And today, in GOG's "reward one random nordic country, and screw another one" lottery, the winner is Norway and the big loser is Sweden!

muntdefems: Another upcoming game "doubling its price" just before release:
Thing is that this game never had an official price until now. I get that magog detects some weird prices that are set, but that does not make them official. The gamecard was showing no price yet and the devs always said that the price would be $39.99.
So my guess would be that this "price doubling" is more because gog sets some internal values when adding "to be released" games which are quite often not true and then update the price to the correct one when the release is actually drawing near.

Yeah. First it was $0, then $100, now I'm guessing it's $19.99 for some reason and it looks like a real price while the others didn't (and MaGOG ignored them I think).
May sometimes give an idea, but since it usually doesn't, no reason to list a price before the game's actually available for sale.

Not really sure about that... As per the ChangeGog (entries for 30 June 2016 and 1 July 2016), it seems as if MaGog was instructed to ignore prices equal to $100, but the change was reverted the next day.

Not sure if that's a comment about GOG's practices or mine. If the former, there's nothing I can do about it :P, but if the latter, I could stop reporting price changes for unreleased games if you prefer, but I think it's always interesting to know what's going on behind the curtains...

Both really. And maybe you could specify with a tag or something when a report is about a game unavailable for sale and shouldn't be taken to mean much?

I guess I could do that, yes. Though I'm afraid I'll do it manually for now, and hope I'll have time to implement this and many other things on my to-do list during the X-mas vacation. :)
